Biotherapeutic Drainage

The father of modern day Drainage is credited to Dr. Anthoine Nebel by Maurice Fortier Bernoville, a French medical doctor and homeopath during the first half of the 1900’s. Drainage is the process of detoxifying the body by opening the emunctories (routes of elimination) and then discharging the toxic accumulations.

Drainage is accomplished in part using the UNDA numbers, which were created over 50 years ago in France by a man named Georges Discri. The UNDA numbers combine diluted forms of both plants and minerals and are formulated based on principles of alchemy, Chinese medicine and homeopathy. They are low potency combinations of plant and metals in an alcohol based solution and are synergistic in nature. That is, the plant and metal/mineral components of the remedy work together in a very specific manner; and when taken apart, these individual components affect quite a different action.

The plant part of the remedy has an affinity for certain organ systems in the body while the metals work as cofactors in enzymatic processes, helping to facilitate biochemical reactions. The remedies are homeopathic dilutions and act ac energetic stimulus to the cells. They help the body to detoxify by encouraging our cells to work more efficiently and to facilitate waste elimination.

Drainage is accomplished by encouraging the body to rid itself of toxicity through the following principle routes: the liver, kidneys, intestines, and lungs. When these routes are not functioning efficiently the body seeks out secondary routes to rid the excess waste. These secondary routes are often the skin and mucous membranes of the sinuses and the vagina. This explains why chronic irritation of the sinuses and vaginitis are so common. These areas are being used as emergency routes of elimination, because the liver, intestines and kidneys are unable to manage their burden.

Why is the body so compromised when it comes to effective waste elimination? Mainly because we are unable to effectively process and eliminate all the toxins we are exposed to. The world we are living in is toxic. On a daily basis we are exposed to environmental toxins in the air we breathe and the water we drink. We ingest toxins in food that’s been exposed to hormones, pesticides and antibiotics. Medications, poor lifestyle choices and chronic stress can inhibit proper elimination of toxins. Toxins accumulate and cause disharmony in the body often resulting in the manifestation of diseased states.

Biotherapeutic drainage is a powerful treatment modality in that it facilitates detoxification and removal of these accumulated toxins. It effectively enhances waste removal not only through the body’s principle routes of elimination, but also on a deeper, cellular level. Health and homeostasis is restored when the body is able to naturally rid itself of toxins that accumulate with in the cells. Drainage with UNDA numbers facilitates long term regenerative change within the body, an important preventative strategy.
