Welcome to our new doctor, Dr. Lisa Breen

Dear Patients,

I am so very honored and excited to meet you.   Dr. Manell was my optometrist and has been my family’s optometrist for many years.  He was very inspirational in my decision to pursue optometry following my undergraduate training at our alma mater, the University of Southern California.   I attended San Pasqual High School prior to attending USC and am now preparing to finish optometry school this May at the UC Berkeley, School of Optometry.   Practicing in my hometown of Escondido has been a long time dream of mine.  Supporting and serving the community in which I grew up has very special meaning for me.

My comprehensive training during optometry school has thoroughly prepared me to meet all of your visual as well as ocular health needs.   I have received extensive training in ocular disease, binocular vision, low vision, glaucoma treatment, and advanced contact lens fitting.   My primary and specialty patient-care training has prepared me to diagnose and treat eye disorders and diseases and to deal with a wide array of physical, and environmental and physiological factors that affect the welfare of our patients.  In addition to comprehensive academic training, I also completed extensive clinical training during my rotations at various facilities.  I had the privilege to serve at the Veteran's Hospital in Portland, Oregon, the Alameda County Hospital in Oakland, and La Clinica de Raza in South Oakland, CA.  I provided vision care to a diverse patient population and discovered a genuine love and personal commitment to provide quality care.

I have always had a love and respect for knowledge and believe in the highest ethical and professional standards to serve my patients in a way worthy of their respect and that of my colleagues.  I am excited to provide you and your family with the vision services you have come to expect and deserve.  You can be confident that I will serve you with dedication, compassion, and respect.   I look forward to meeting all of you and am excited about our future relationship.  I hope to meet all of you soon and hope you continue to choose our practice to meet all your vision needs.
