Dr. Kenneth R. Manell, O.D.

Dr. Kenneth R. Manell has lived in Escondido with his wife Janet for over 35 years. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California and of the Southern California College of Optometry. He and Janet have two daughters and they enjoy their two grandchildren Paige and Trenton.

Dr. Manell joined Dr. O. Doyle Dannenberg in 1970 after serving two years as an Army optometry officer at Walter Reed General Hospital. He has devoted his practice to complete family care specializing in contact lenses.

Dr. Manell is active in the community as a member of the Escondido Rotary Club and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Escondido Downtown Business Association. He is also a member of the Church of Saint Timothy. In his spare time Dr. Manell enjoys fishing, golf and jogging.

Dr. Michael J. Cooper, O.D

Dr. Michael J. Cooper grew up in Escondido attending Juniper, Del Dios and San Pasqual High School. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Northern Arizona University and the Southern California College of Optometry where he was one of 20 to graduate "with distinction". He and his wife Kris live in Escondido and have two children, Paige and Trenton.

Dr. Cooper joined with Dr. Manell in 1995, returning to his hometown. Dr. Cooper specializes in contact lenses while also incorportaing low vision and vision therapy services into his total family care services.Dr. Cooper is also active in the community with the Escondido Rotary Club. He is a member of the Downtown Business Association and Escondido Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Cooper is also a member of the Church of Saint Timothy.  Dr. Cooper spends most of his free time coaching his kids in soccer ,softball and baseball.
