The AKG-D112 has an accurate and powerful kick drum sound on stage and in the studio.

This large-diaphragm dynamic microphone earned a well-deserved reputation worldwide as the best kick drum mic ever made. A specially engineered diaphragm with a very low resonance frequency maintains solid yet clean response below 100 Hz while a narrow-band rise at 4 kHz punches through dense mixes with little or no EQ. The result is a kick drum sound that ideally balances definition and forceful impact - in any mix. The D 112 is also an excellent choice for use with bass cabinets

The AKG-C 418 has got what it takes.

The frequency response of the C 418 has been specifically tailored for drums and percussions. A bass rolloff below 500 Hz compensates for the low-frequency emphasis caused by using a microphone extremely close to the sound source. A rise in sensitivity between 5 kHz and 10 kHz provides a punchy sound. A shock mount protects the capsule from drumstick blows and rejects vibrational noise. The hypercardioid polar pattern ensures good channel separation in a multi-mic setup. A rugged, rubberized clamp keeps the C 418 securely in place. An articulated microphone arm makes it easy to align the microphone with the top skin exactly as desired.
