BREC’s Hooper Road Park
will be the home of the inaugural Du Bayou Off-Road
Duathlon. This event will consist of a 2 mile trail run, a 10 mile
mountain bike ride, and another 2 mile trail run to the finish line.
Participants may compete in the Solo Division, in which each will complete all
three legs of the race. Team Relays will consist of 1 runner and 1 mountain
biker.
Awards will be given to the first 3 male and female Solo Division finishers in each of the following age groups: 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, and 85+.
Awards will be given to the first 3 Team Relay Division
finishers in each of the following groups: All-Male, All Female, and Co-Ed.
All participants will receive an event T-Shirt and a ticket
redeemable for a free post race meal to be served at noon. If you plan to attend
the meal, please RSVP to dubayou@cox.net.
This will be a USA Triathlon sanctioned event, so each
participant must have a USAT number or purchase a 1-day license. If you are a
current member of USAT on race day, please bring your membership card and a
photo ID. Without both, participants must purchase a 1-day license, per USAT
rules. USAT fees may be paid with your online registration (preferred method of
registration) or just prior to race day registration. ONLINE
REGISTRATION is
available and we
encourage you to use it, as the late registration fees will apply on race day.
Also, it is much smoother for everyone involved.
Packet pick-up will begin at 6:30 am on Sunday, August 29th and close at 8:30 am.

The race will begin promptly at 9:00 am, so please arrive early enough to pick up your packet and claim your spot in the transition area.
Through August 22nd: $30.00 for the Solo Division and $55.00 for the Team Relay Division
After August 22nd: $38.00 for the Solo Division and $63.00 for the Team Relay Division
