Durig Music Services is a full service music contracting company.  We provide musical ensembles for weddings, parties, receptions and other events. Our professional musicians include active and retired military musicians, teachers, and symphony members.  All have extensive backgrounds in ceremonies, receptions, parties, and concerts.  We have specialized experience in diplomatic and military receptions and ceremonies. Everything from a reception to a change of command. 

We offer the following as stand alone groups or in combination:

  1. Solo: Guitar
  2. Duos: Guitar with Trumpet/Flugelhorn, Flute, Violin, or Clarinet.  Wonderful for restaurants
  3. Spumoni Strings:  trios to full string orchestras
  4. Virginia Chamber Brass: Great for change of commands or ceremonies.
  5. The Rustbelt Ramblers:  Swinging Dixieland band.
  6. Mad Dog's Revenge: We be hurtin' you soon!!!
  7. Substitution:  Jazz Standards and Originals

I am offering lessons on the following instruments;

  1. Guitar/Mandolin/Plectrum banjo/electric bass, all levels
  2. Violin/Viola/Cello/Acoustic Bass, beginning and intermediate.
  3. Trumpet/French horn/Trombone, beginning and intermediate.
  4. Voice/Piano, beginning and intermediate
  5. Jazz performance all levels, all instruments.

The subject matter in private lessons included the technical aspect of playing along with theoretical concepts of music. This balance of training enables the student to analyze new pieces and play them quicker. The student is able to recognize common patterns used in all musical compositions. The goal is for the student to be completely functional within a 24 month period; able to function in any performance endeavor.
