Dreamland Computer Club
Invites Guests
The Dreamland Computer Club was organized in 1995 by a few forward thinking residents who were interested in computers and had no where to go to get help. The main purpose was, and still is, to help each other to develop better computer skills.
We invite all residents of Dreamland Villa to our General Meetings held the first Wednesday of the month, in Farnsworth Hall at 9:AM. We have a monthly schedule calendar of classes, workshops, labs, and special interest groups. This calendar is available at the office, in our Classroom # 9, and on our Web Site http://members.cox.net/
dcccomputerclub/. This Web Site is one of the Best in the West. It is a Labor of Love, produced by Ramona and Bob Summers, who were some of the founders of the Club. Please log on…you will be amazed at the Look and the information available. Minutes of our last meeting may also be found there. If you have no computer, but are interested, or your grandchildren have given you their old computer, or if you have recently purchased one, we have a one on one (or two) workshop where you will learn how to turn it on and off, how to operate the mouse, and how to send an e-mail.
If you are more advanced, we have a progressive, three-lesson class; we call The Beginners Class, which continues the process of learning the basics of computers. We also have more advanced classes, and Special Interest Group meetings, that are tailored to the current memberships' requirements. These include MS Word, Excel, Quicken, Scanners, Digital Cameras, Music, Genealogy, Graphics, Internet, E-mail, and Workshops on any subject.
Please be our guests (free) for two of our classes, workshops, etc. if you are a member of the Dreamland Community Club. Our annual membership fees are $15.00 per single or $20.00 a couple. There are no other charges for classes, etc. There is no better, or more economical method to learn the computer. Your neighbors and friends volunteer to teach and assist with these classes and workshops and are eager to answer your individual questions or help you with a problem. Be our guest.
Theresa Calvert, with Microsoft, will be our speaker, at our February meeting. After a short business meeting she will speak on Microsoft XP, and it's features including, digital photos, music, videos, entertainment, communication, home net working, and remote assistance. Most new computers are now furnished with Windows XP installed. This should be a very informative presentation with questions and answers after.
The new Board of Directors of the Dreamland Computer Club was installed at the January 2nd. General Meeting. See picture below.

We look forward to a productive and interesting year where learning is fun, and new friendships are more common than computers.
