DREAMLAND COMPUTER CLUB With the arrival of September, and our first meeting of Dreamland Computer Club, we found 23 members and one guest attending. After the meeting was called to order by President Judy Gardner, the minutes of the June meeting were read. Then we had a very informative session of conversations pertaining to plans for the upcoming months. We spoke of the improvements that were made to our Room 9 and like the old saying goes: You have come a long way, baby, we feel the same way. Nearly ten years ago we started out with about 25 members and one computer. After much hard work earning enough money from various projects and from generous donations from several club members, we were able to start improvements. As of now, we have six new XP computers and four others that we hope to upgrade soon. With the help of so many volunteers, we have been able to conduct classes and workshops that were beneficial to all of us. After all, we all started out not knowing much about our computers, but were willing to take the time to learn. At the workshops, problems were discussed and by helping each other, it was a good thing for all of us. We invite any of you to come join us and take part in our classes. You will soon be having a new hobby that you will enjoy immensely. It is never too late to improve your daily life. Once you learn how to send e-mail, your family and friends will be able to keep you in touch with their little world. Our fall classes will be starting soon, so do come and be a part of the world of computers. You will not regret it. See you there. By Donna Hanson
