An appointed committee consisting of Elaine Westhaues and Helen Rosenwald has been updating and rewriting the computer club By-Laws. Article Four, paragraph 3 was discussed. A motion by Doretta Anderson and seconded by Elaine Westhaues should be changed to read "Guests are welcome to attend two (2) general meetings and are encouraged to become club members as long as they are members of Dreamland Villa Community Club". Motion passed by a show of hands.
Discussion on "Number and Terms of Office" was quite lengthy but by a show of hands the revised proposal was left as written.
"Manner of Election" also involved a lively discussion. Motion by Bob Roberts, seconded by George Rauch " To leave the proposed change as it was written". Motion passed by a show of hands.
After a few other word changes, the remaining proposed changes in the By-Laws were unanimously approved.
Per Article Ten in the present By-Laws, "Miscellaneous Provisions", Amendments to By-Laws reads as follows, "These bylaws may be amended or modified by a majority vote of the members present at any regular meeting. Notice of the proposed amendments to the bylaws shall be voted on one (1) month following presentation.
The above paragraph meets the parameters needed. The next meeting will be February 2, 2005. These minutes will appear on the club’s web site and will also appear in the Citizen.

Thank You’s were given to all those who have so graciously given donations and unselfishly given their time. It is greatly appreciated. Without these individuals, this club would not survive.
A panic/fire escape door in Room 9 is still up for bids. Hopefully the installation will be done soon.
Appointed auditors will be auditing the Treasurer’s books soon.
The article that appeared in the Citizen about the computer club wanting to take over the Ceramic Room is totally untrue. How or why this rumor was started is unknown.
