Discussion:
There is no law in Arizona's Statutes discussing wearing a mask during the commission of a non-sex related crime. The only place where a mask or bizarre costume is discussed is in 13-3501, the definitions for the Obscenity and Sexual Exploitation of Children chapters, and no reference is made to the color of the mask. Further research will need to be performed to really debunk this "law", but it is doubtful that such a law ever existed as there is nothing significant about the color red which would elevate a misdemeanor charge to a felony charge. Since the law doesn't even cover the use of a mask vice without one during the commission of a crime, I think we can label this law debunked.
