Desperately Searching...
I am pretty desperate. I've realized that I won't have enough Magpie to finish my sweater, and I need at least 3-4 more skeins. Of course Magpie is now discontinued, so...is there anyone out there who has 3-4 skeins of Magpie in shade 684 dye lot 7D3?
Okay, now that I've got that out of the way, here is what the sweater looks like so far. I love it sooooo much and I absolutely have to finish it!

I only had to work three hours today so my day was pretty chill. I visited Jered at work and we went around and took pictures of him pretending to be a smoker. At one point he had a fake cigarette and was pretending to smoke and it was pretty obvious that he's not a smoker because the cigarette was pointing almost straight to the sky, it was the strangest looking thing ever. The pictures were not for our own personal enjoyment, I don't want you all thinking that we have some strange obsession that makes us want to take pictures doing things we don't normally do, it was for some work related smoking cessation campaign that he's working on.
My parents came over tonight and we had homemade vanilla pudding, it was really yummy. Here's the recipe; its definitely worth the 20 minutes it takes to make it!
1/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. corn starch
1/8 tsp. salt
2 cups milk (the fatter the better)
2 egg yolks
1 tbsp. unsalted butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract (use the real stuff, it makes a difference)
Whisk the sugar, corn starch and salt together in a small pot. Add about 1/4 cup of the milk to make a thin paste. Whisk in the remaining milk and egg yolks. Cook over low heat stirring constantly for about 15 minutes or until mixture starts to thicken. It takes at least 10 minutes before it starts to really thicken, so don't get discouraged! Don't let the mixture boil. Once it starts to thicken and become pudding -like in consistency remove it from the heat and add the vanilla and butter. Stir both of these in. Place the mixture in a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Gently push the plastic wrap onto the surface of the pudding so that it won't be able to form a skin. Seal the bowl with another layer of plastic wrap and chill for at least an hour. It is sooooo good!
And finally, just to make this post even more "melting pot" than it already is, here is my Leader Identity...my future doesn't look too promising!
