A weekend free...

Kitchen

We were supposed to go to Savannah Georgia this weekend to pick up a free 52" tv from friends of my family. My parents ended up going by themselves because gas prices are just to outrageous right now. I also can't see driving an extra car down and using that fuel for nothing, it seems a little too wasteful considering all that is going on in our country right now.
So I find myself with a weekend that is completely free. I can knit, clean, work in the yard, cook (I'm boiling peanuts in the kitchen right now) and just generally relax. It's a very eerie feeling!
I hope to get at least 20 repeats of Madli done this weekend, which would also mean I would be done with Madli this weekend. We'll see about that. My best intentions usually end up, well...not meeting their own expectations :)
Jered and I are headed to CNU's football game this afternoon. He has taken on the role of their mascot and so I have a feeling Saturday football games are going to become pretty common! I am going to take some pictures, but might not post them since it's supposed to be a secret, shhhh! :)
Hope everyone has a safe, relaxing and fun weekend.

Monday Monday

Flowers from the garden

Today has been a long day and its not over yet. I am having some trouble with licensure stuff because I didn't take one class last semester that my advisor said it was okay for me to wait until this summer to take. I would have taken it if she had told me that without it I don't graduate until August (even though my class is over June 1st!) I would have moved our honeymoon to August and everything would have been fine, but she reassured me that waiting until this upcoming summer would be no problem. Whatever! I won't be able to get my degree until two full months after my last class, AND, if I get a job, my counseling hours won't count as post graduate licensure hours until I get my official diploma. I have talked to the "powers that be" and they all say there is nothing I can do, and that its a raw deal, but one that I will have to live with. It sucks because I am actually ahead on my coursework, and am only taking 4 classes in spring instead of 5 like everyone else, of course the one class i need is only offered the last two weeks of May. AHHHG! I'm pissed. This program is great, but so disorganized and so crazy making when it comes to finding out anything that we need to know about graduation, licensure, etc....
At least I have pretty flowers in my garden and Madli to knit on.
I feel like a turd.
