Oooooh, Ahhhhh

Inside Again

So my readership is down because I am no longer on the Knitting Blogs webring! That explains the lack of comments :) Hopefully I'll be back up shortly.
This is an inside shot of the new knitting bag. I haven't taken it anywhere yet, but I'm debating leaving my regular back pack behind tomorrow and taking the new bag to class with me.
It still hasn't cooled off here. I can't wait for fall. I am a cool/cold weather person. Fall and winter invigorate me, I like a crisp chill in the air and even enjoy being cold sometimes. Summer just makes me uncomfortable. It's sticky and makes me feel sloooooooooow.
This weekend it is supposed to cool down into the 70's, finally. It is about time! It's almost October and we're still averaging 85 degree days with mucho humidity. Ylech...
I hope we have a freezing cold winter. As long as I can keep our house around 55-60 degrees I will be happy as a clam. I think I was meant to be an Eskimo :)

Knitting Bag!

Knitting Bag!

Jered and I were reading the Sunday paper this morning perusing the coupon section as we usually do, and we came upon a 40% off coupon for Michaels. We have been trying to figure out what to do for art in our living room since we have much more wall space to fill up now, and thought, Hey! Let's go to Michaels and buy a huge canvas with this coupon. So off to Michaels we went. We stopped by the new Paneras on our way there and had a delicious lunch first, and then continued on our bargain hunting way.
We got to Michaels only to find that all canvases were already 40% off! And since you can't use the coupon with any other offer we had a coupon to use on another item. So, Jered found me this bag. The mother of all knitting bags. It's big, its orange, and its just about the coolest thing I have seen out there. AND, we only paid $24 for it. I should say, Jered only paid $24 for it.
They had a specific knitting bag, but it was actually not as nice as this one and it was a little too big, if that's possible. It just didn't seem practical, for me. They also had a one skein knitting bag that reminded me of a wine bottle carrier, and it wasn't quite big enough. So I got the General Bag, which seems to have been designed with knitters in mind. I am quite pleased. I have already put most of my notions in it. I'll post a picture of the back and the insides soon!
