Welcome to My Space 1999 Page. This page is on the net to share with other Space:1999 and Gerry Anderson fans my ongoing efforts to build a replica 44" Eagle.

The ship was designed by Brian Johnson and built by Wag Evans as a studio model for the tv series 'Space 1999'. I first seen it when the show aired in 1976 and it has been my favorite ever since. Reportedly the inspiration for the design was from a grass hopper. My inspiration for building an exact copy comes from a desire to own the ultimate S19 collectible, an original Eagle, but the originals are quite coveted and not likely to make it to my home. My goal with this project is to construct an Eagle with the same materials and to the same specifications as the original, I hope can capture the Eagles grace with this replica.

This ship is the second of the three 43.25" Eagles. Its now owned by a very nice guy, Mr. Andrew Frampton.

This site is also up to help any other modeler doing the Eagle so if you need help with something, just ask,,, Really, I love to talk Eagles. I'm a novice model maker and this replica is the biggest project I've attempted so if you have a comment or suggestion, I'd be thankfull for your input.

Since posting this site way back, there have since been far better refrences and builds detailed on message boards and websites.

I'd also like to see any unique images you may have of models used in the series as this project and the ones to come are derived *entirely* from resources obtained through my modem. If you have Unique images of any Gerry Anderson models, please send them allong. Hi Res is OK!

No offence is intended by any omission of thanks. Of note is A&E ® as they own the show that the Eagle Stars in . I hope they make a big budget film of Space:1999. nudge nudge wink wink. I hear the Sci-Fi channel can't run the series due to the cost of the show. What a shame. Its not doing any good sitting on a shelf. In the UK, BBC2 was running the series,.. GO BBC.. You rule! Now how about running it on BBC America so we can see it over here too. The series is out on DVD also. You can get it anywhere online as a box set sometimes including the remarkable 'Message From Moonbase Alpha'. I can say the series never looked better! Crispy crear video, super detail! Network Video releases S1 in the UK for PAL, Nothing but fantastic comments on that set.
