Arnold Wexler

Here is a little recent background info, actually very recent stuff as my past is too
long-winded to dump onto others.  Suzanne (Ruch), my wife, and I
have previously arranged obligations which we have to attend.  Thus,
our desire to attend our reunion is necessarily diverted.  We are sad
about this but we have little choice. I have to give a talk for my
annual Occupational Medicine seminar in Vancouver, Canada and Suzanne
has several issues going on almost simultaneously. Bummer.

I still work, but have cut down my hours for other interests. I'm
still the Medical Director of DuPont Chemical's Advanced Fibers Plant
in Richmond, [VA] the largest manufacturer of Tyvek (you know, the stuff
they wrap houses in for weather resistance), Kevlar (for bullet-proof
vests, among other items), and Nomex (for fire resistant clothing--
same stuff I wore flying while an Air Force Flight Surgeon lo those
many years ago). It is, surprisingly enough, only a part time job.
Also, I have resurrected my playing the bassoon, as in Earlham's
orchestra, after NOT playing for over 38 years. I play with the
Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and the Richmond Symphonic Winds, and
those gigs, plus other fooling around activities, pretty much makes
life a whole lot better than a straight 8-5 job. Suz and I swim twice
weekly at a local club to add moisture to our pretty well shriveled
bodies. Suz has taken up photography like a crescendo, and has
entered her photos in a variety of venues, and won some awards to
boot. We have several grandchildren and a couple of great
grandchildren between us to help keep us young (or is it old?) so we
keep on truckin', as they say.
