Family Log Cabin
in Pinetop Arizona
|
| This
web site is a photo album of a log cabin. Our family has owned the land
for 20 years and in 1999 we decided to build a log cabin. The photographs
you see here are the finished product. |
It all begins with
a vacant lot. Three lots in fact, purchased in 1979. This is a photograph
taken in the summer of 1998. The view you see here is where the cabin will
ultimately be built. Note the arches made by the oak trees. The photos
on this first page are of the finished cabin. Scroll down to the bottom
of this first page for the link to the photographs that show the building
process from July to December 1999. The family crew has literally done
everything: staining/sealing logs, caulking, staining boards for walls
and ceilings, installing complete bathrooms, trimming, complete furnishings,
and moving rocks. Several enhancements included the mantel piece, steps
for the spiral staircase, shelves, doors, driveway markers, and lots of
little ticky tacky stuff. |

Nestled
in the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the world, this log cabin is a
great escape to the high country. Surrounded by scrub oak, pine and aspin
trees, this cabin is close to fishing, hiking, the Apache Ski Resort (Sunrise),
and the Hon Dah gaming casino. Just a few minutes from a beautiful public
golf course, this retreat is a real treat. Mouse click on the image to
the right and go to the Sunrise Park home page. Here you will see spectacular
pictures of the area and details about skiing and events on the Apache
Indian reservation ski area. |
Pinetop Lakes Golf
and Country Club is a par 63, magnificant 18 holes open to the public.
The Club is five minutes from the cabin and tee times are readily available.
The clubhouse also features a great lunch buffet. Bring your driver. Seven
holes have long and open fairways. Mouse click on the image and see a picture
of the second hole, a beautiful par 3 over the water. |
