The story of how Edison and Ashley met is not what you would consider a fairytale. They had been around the same groups of people but hadn't really noticed each other. When they did first meet, neither one cared much for the other. It was much later when they decided to give it a try.

Edison received Ashley's phone number one evening when Ashley offered to puppy sit for Edison so he could enjoy a night on the town. Edison accepted Ashley’s number (which I only meant for him to use that one time). The next day Edison called Ashley and brought over Matilda (I used the dog to get closer to her). Instead of going out on the town (which is what I thought he was doing), Edison decided to hang around the house with Ashley and roommates who were also his friends (I think he planned this out). The phone calls continued after that evening and happened frequently. (She loved it!) Ashley finally gave into Edison for one date to make the phone calls stop or slow down, (yeah right). Ashley wasn’t looking for a relationship at the time (I was too busy with everything else).

Edison was completely different from what Ashley thought he was (don't want to ruin his reputation too much but he has a loving side ;-)). On the first date, Edison took Ashley to her favorite restaurant. On the second date, he surprised Ashley and her roommates with a dozen pink roses. On Sunday evenings, Edison would always ask Ashley on dates for the upcoming weekend and would then ask to see Ashley again.

Although they are both opinionated about their beliefs, Ashley and Edison have found it easy to respect each others differences. Edison and Ashley became best friends which quickly turned into more. This leads us to today where they ask those who are close to share in this upcoming celebration uniting them.
