80s New Wave Punk Music Survivors
Don't You Forget About Me!
The following are 80's artists associated with the Eighties New Wave Punk movement that have continued to be artistically viable into the 21st century. Some are bands reunited, while others have been together since they started in the late 70's or early eighties.
There are few pure nostalgia acts listed here. These artists are not content to rest on their laurels or to play shows simply to rehash their old material. Almost all listed here are still going strong, currently producing exciting new material and/or touring. A few, sadly, have passed on but not before making their mark in the new millennium.
Suggested songs are listed next to the artist. Most of these songs have been released quite recently and can be found on Apple's iTunes music store at http://www.apple.com/itunes/
