Unable to load the RequisitePro GeneralServices.Files Component. Protection Violation.
This occurred immediately after install of RequisitePro 2001A on Win2K.
Apparently the install did not complete properly. Rational Tech Support's suggestion was to
completely uninstall Rational Solutions for Windows (per Rational Technote 4652) and reinstall.
When I clicked on ClearQuest to remove it via the Control Panel, it stated that another program
had not completed its install, would I like to finish now. I said yes, the ReqPro install completed
and all was well.

Failed to check out a key for RequisitePro: FLEXlm Error -18, License server does not support this feature.
A bug in the 2001A Suites release sometimes fails to set the registry properly during ReqPro install.
In the Rational License Key Administrator, go to Settings->License Usage Mapper. In the left panel, you
probably won't see Rational RequisitePro listed. To fix that, enter the regedt32 and delete
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Rational Software\Licensing\1.0\SuiteMap2. Rational's Technote 19534
indicates that the key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE is the one to be removed, but their Tech Support had
me remove the one in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, which solved the problem. Make sure you are out of every
Rational tool before editing that part of the registry. After editing, open the Licenense Usage
Mapper again and those registry keys will be automatically rebuilt. The Mapper should now show Rational
RequisitePro in the left pane.
