If you love my huts, you will love this site.
This is an absolutly beautiful place to look at real house plans. Livable interiors and "to die for" exteriors and even the links to the places needed to build a real dream home, right down to the door knobs.

PC City is a great place to have your computer repaired and also a great place to see my art! George set up a display case and he is selling his hand turned wooden bowls, cups and driftwood sculptures and my ceramics. The artistic side of High Tech!

Mud in Mind: Pottery Wheels, Ceramic Kilns, and Potters supplies

This is the Artista potters wheel I purchased . It does not come with the foot peddle, but has a hand speed control, which I feel is superior. It goes from VERY slow to very fast. I didn't get the legs either. I bought a heavy plastic truck tool box from Lowes, I can straddle it, sitting on a pillow and the wheel sits on it nicely. Until I saw it being used by a potter I knew, I thought it was a toy, but it is a real working wheel. Very neat machine. It really is able to be lifted easily and would store on a sturdy shelf. No, it doesn't slide around when you center clay, at least is doesn't for me, nor did it for my friend. A DVD comes with it that does a pretty good job of explaining how to throw a pot for the beginner. I don't like the way they show you how to trim, it would wreck a good pot in my estimation, but it is one way of doing it.

A tradition from The Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

Paul is a great guy who still plays down at the Brambleton Center with me and the other folks even though he has a nice studio of his own. He is the Paul whos daughter likes penguins. I recomend him for all your functional pottery desires.

Aqua Med Lotion
My favorite hand lotion - it has no fragerance at all and keeps this potter's hands happy

THE ENIGMA OF WHISTLING WATER JARS IN PRECOLUMBIAN CERAMICS
By Brian Ransom

Here are some more "pots that whistle".
They may help in making the whistle part of the whistling pots mentioned above.
They both have good pictures and clear directions.
I was the most successful doing the first one
I actually made a whistle.

This may seem out of place, but I have used some of the information in this article to make/improve my clay whistles also.
