Moon Mage Meeting (March 15th, 2003)

>Westryl gestures, and a silence falls over the area.

[The room is now hushed -- you may not speak freely.]

>Student Siaghon just arrived.
>Delvan stops teaching and looks around quietly.
Elsbecca stops teaching and looks around quietly.
>Toldorf stops teaching and looks around quietly.
>Westryl says, "Blessed silence."
>Chisoni nods to Westryl.
>Ithlia stops teaching and looks around quietly.
Cloudcrest stops teaching and looks around quietly.
>Growlyn stops teaching and looks around quietly.
>Eowen stops teaching and looks around quietly.
>Ileia stops trying to teach power perception to Tenoctris.
>Westryl says, "First off, I would like to thank you all for coming, and for those of you who missed us on the boards, we'll do some quick introductions."
>Amaldur just arrived.
>Cydrik just arrived.
>Kryeus stops teaching and looks around quietly.
Ileia stops teaching and looks around quietly.
>Student Thadd just arrived.
>Westryl says, "I'm GM Westryl, the Moon Mage Liaison."
>Westryl says, "GM Chisoni is the Guild Guru, and GM Talian is the Dev Assistant."
>Westryl says, "Though that may not be his exact title."
>Westryl ponders.
>Marista just arrived.
>Talian says, "Lunar god."
>Talian nods.
>Westryl says, "That works."
>Chisoni smirks.
>Chisoni says, "More like the foundation stones."
>Westryl chuckles.
>Tezirite Praxle just arrived.
>Lighttflare just arrived.
>Westryl says, "To begin, since I'm sure it's on most of your minds, I'm going to talk about the turtle. For those who don't know, the Heritage House turtle connecting Taisgath and Throne City has been destroyed. There were several reasons for this, the primary being:"
>Westryl says, "1. As a sect only benefit, it was quite beyond anything any other sect had and, quite frankly, unfair. This isn't to say we won't be allowing benefits for sects, but we simply can't allow any one sect to grow so top-heavy, and the turtle was causing just that scenario, especially coupled with the HH's unique place as the only sect you can join after belonging to another sect. We have no intention of making the sects all exactly the same, but there needs to be at least the semblance of equity."
>Eleayna just arrived.
>Fortuneteller Aesclinn just arrived.
>Westryl says, "2. The Islands were designed to be far away and hard to get to. The turtle circumvented that way too easily. I'm sure many folks heard the first reason and though "Okay, open it up to all MMs with skill." That idea was considered, and the decision to not allow that came about because the speed and ease of travel just shouldn't be available. I can tell you that the discussion on that went beyond the scope of the MM team, as it affects not just us, but the overall plan for the game and for the Islands."
>Diviner Draconie's group just arrived.
>Westryl says, "That being said, let me shift gears a little and touch on future development. The turtles represented a shift from the old-style form of teleport/moongate where you walked somewhere, dropped a beam, walked away, and could get back easily."
>Westryl says, "I know that as a player, I was more excited with the idea of what they did than where they let me travel to, because I saw it as greatly widening the theoretical field of what we could do as Moon Mages."
>Westryl says, "The loss of this turtle in no way narrows that field, and "travel enhancements" are most definitely being planned, and will hopefully be a lot more interesting and versatile than the turtles. Additionally, we currently have no plans to remove the Theren to TC turtle, since it doesn't create either of the problems that the other one did."
>Talian says, "Just to emphasize what Westryl is saying."
>Talian says, "Discussions for some form of a remote beam ability/system are in progress."
>Talian says, "Not entirely sure how it will end up, but we don't plan to be chained to the beam and walk - return methods forever."
>Talian nods to Westryl.
>Zaran just arrived.
>Westryl says, "That's all I have on the turtles right now. We'll be opening up the list for questions later, though."
>Westryl says, "On to new business:"
>Westryl says, "Actually, let me back track, since I'll be talking about events."
>Westryl says, "There's been some concern regarding why the turtle event occured, and some chicken or the egg speculation."
>Westryl says, "We didn't sit down and say, we're blowing up the turtle, let's write an event around it, and we didn't say we've got this event, let's blow up the turtle too. Instead, we had both, the turtle needed to be addressed, and we wanted to do a large scale event that would put the MWP stuff to shame, so we combined the two. Doing so allows us to introduce necessary changes while maintaining the integrity of the RP environment."
>Talian says, "Plus kill you violently.."
>Talian shifts his weight.
>Westryl chuckles.
>Westryl says, "That too"
> * Saulthor was just struck down!
>Westryl says, "Obviously, we've just introduced a new plot, and we've got some long term plans for it."
>Westryl says, "I think it'll provide RP opportunities for everyone, regardless of how you RP."
>Hanwi just arrived.
> * Derri was just struck down!
>Westryl says, "We'll be tying up some loose ends left over from the MWP, and creating entire new ends to let loose."
>Westryl says, "The mini meetings I promised are coming, probably in the next few weeks. They'll be covering a range of topics from RP to mechanics, to new ideas, and so on."
>Westryl says, "I'll also be adding some kind of "Talk to the Liaison" list, as several other guilds have. No real ETA on that, since it needs to be QCed in order to put it physically in game."
>Westryl says, "Now, I know very well that the past few months have held a lot of bad news, and very little good news...."
>Zaped just left.
>Waevlet just arrived.
>Westryl says, "There's been some growing pains, but we've been looking over our to do list, and I think I can safely say that the downers are over. From here, it's all good: new stuff, or ehancements to existing stuff."
>Westryl says, "Barring anything unforseen, of course."
>Moon Mage Flametip just arrived.
>Westryl says, "Ah, I'm being told that there's some confusion over what the MWP is. Sorry about that"
>Westryl says, "The MWP stands for Mirror Wraith Prophesy. I use that to refer to all the events that lead up to the current state of the IG guild leadership."
>Westryl says, "IE, dead and comatose Councilors, the sects, etc."
>Silkenflame just arrived.
>Chisoni rubs her hands together.
>Zaped just arrived.
> * Dhara was just struck down!
> * Dementhar was just struck down!
>Westryl says, "Okay, that's about all I wanted to say. This meeting does mark the turning point, I promise. Good news from here on."
>Westryl says, "I'll turn it over to Talian to talk about some of that good stuff now."
>Westryl nods to Talian.
>Diviner Orfen just arrived.
>Talian says, "Oof."
>Talian says, "Well as promised on the boards some updates for a number of things we've been talking about."
>Talian says, "First up, spells."
>Talian says, "I've gotten the okay to give thoughtcast a pretty decent cut in difficulty to make it a bit easier and more effective."
>Illusionist Frigeon just arrived.
>Talian says, "I know there has been some concerns on how hard it was."
>Talian says, "We'll probably see that in the next month or two."
>Talian says, "Maybe sooner if I can tear Rigby away from bards briefly."
>Talian winks.
>Talian says, "Seal of Deflection will be seeing another round of adjustments"
>Talian says, "Its still not quite where it needs to be."
>Talian says, "And everyone's favorite spell Shear."
>Contemplator Lumous just arrived.
>Talian says, "Will be taking another look at it."
>Talian says, "As well as diving into the various bugs and problems that have been brought up."
>Talian asks, "Anything to share on spells you two?"
>Chisoni shakes her head at Talian.
>Westryl says, "Nope. I just use em, I don't make em."
>Talian nods.
>Determinist Vorklensch just arrived.
>Talian says, "Next up enchantments."
>Talian says, "We do have a new enchantment finished up and nearly ready for release."
>Talian says, "Its waiting on the last bits of QC at the moment."
>Talian says, "Its one of the easier enchantments, is locational in nature."
>Talian says, "Will leave the details for the release."
>Talian says, "Its intended to be usable by others, so something of a profit potential."
>Talian says, "Hopefully see that rrelatively quickly."
>Talian says, "Also have some enhancements okayed for some existing enchantments."
> * Kosfinne was just struck down!
>Talian says, "Plan to add some more unbend types."
>Talian says, "Celestial jewelry will be getting a review."
>Talian says, "Not sure of the specifics there, but want to make it moreuseful."
>Talian says, "Will see what we can manage, while still keeping all parties involved happy."
>Talian says, "We also have a general refresh/review of the base enchanting planned."
>Talian says, "Take a look at some of the experience, and functionality."
>Talian says, "Note, this is not in any way planned as a downtweak."
>Talian says, "But in some cases certain things teach way too much of one skill and not enough of others, causing mindstate problems."
>Talian asks, "That's all I had on enchants, anything you two?"
> * Heatherea was just struck down!
>EtAnRaCnI LiVe Shakahn just went south.
>Chisoni says, "Not really. What I have in the background isn't good to talk about yet."
>Talian says, "Oh ya, also have a number of new other enchantments in the works."
Westryl says, "Nothing from me."
>Talian says, "Okay, next up prediction."
>Talian says, "As posted, this was a primary project."
>Talian says, "Its sat in the wings for far too long."
>Talian says, "The base system is virtually complete."
>Talian says, "We are tentatively targeting this for hot summer nights."
>Talian says, "As in this summer."
>Talian says, "Will go ahead and share a few details, but simucon will see a more indepth review."
>Talian says, "You will be able to target specific skills."
>Talian says, "You will be able to intentionally curse."
>Talian says, "Will see a new ability to come along with it as well."
>Talian says, "4 new divination tools are nearing completion"
>Talian says, "And even giving a sneak peek at one of them today."
>Talian gets some vellum celestial charts from inside his stylish knapsack.
>Chisoni grins.
>Talian says, "They've turned out pretty neat."
>Talian says, "This, and the others are actually functional now in our development instance, just adding all the special fun and details."
>Talian says, "We're gonna get there this time folks, I hated waiting as long as all you have."
>Middler just arrived.
>Talian nods to Chisoni.
> * Darkmight was just struck down!
>
* A meteor streaks across the sky as Darkmight's soul departs forever to walk the Starry Road.
>Tenoctris just arrived.
>Chisoni says, "I want to point something out quickly. You know I started this project...revamping the system. What's important here is that on top of that, Talian has grabbed what I've done and run with it like a madman. We have a lot to thank him for here. All three of us have contributed, but Talian is really hitting the wall on this project."
>Talian nods.
>Talian says, "Lets just hope we can finish it."
>Talian says, "I know we will."
>Chisoni says, "We will."
>Westryl says, "Every day I come online and Talian's like "Hey, look what I finished." He's quite insane."
>Talian says, "The other tools are turning out pretty neat, and the way the system is built we can add many many more later."
>Talian says, "This just the start."
>Talian ponders.
>Talian says, "Just one other tidbit to share on tools, then I save rest for con."
>Talian says, "Am adding the ability for you to unbond them."
>Talian says, "This enables the more indepth predictors to actually prepare more powerful tools then sell to others."
>Talian says, "We'll see how it works out, hopefully useful."
> * Raxxall was just struck down!
>Talian says, "That's most of what I had on prediction, but we'll answer more questions in q&a."
> * Daminious was just struck down!
> * Daminious was just incinerated!
>Talian says, "That's all I got for now, so turning over to Chisoni."
>Digun just left.
>Chisoni says, "I have a couple of brief things to bring up."
>Chisoni says, "First is the regrettable lack of shops for every sect. That is in the process of being retified as we speak. With luck, you may see those by HSN."
>Chisoni says, "The other notable mention is Su Helmas."
>Middler just arrived.
>Chisoni says, "That's also another project well underway, and I know some of you would very much like to see it."
>Chisoni says, "Understandably, while that may not be out quick as soon as perhaps the shops, you'll understand it will host it's own when the time comes."
> * Kirstiana was just struck down!
>Chisoni says, "For those who aren't quite certain, Su Helmas is of particular interest to the Pethians."
>Chisoni says, "What original work was done has been updated and we've gone forward from that point."
> * Gheist was just struck down!
>Chisoni says, "The last two things I want to mention."
>Chisoni glances at Westryl.
> * Traentt was just struck down!
>Westryl says, "I just want to point out that the timeframe we're working with is in a lot of ways out of our hands. The shift to batch releases means we can't always release something as soon as its done."
>Talian says, "Everyone remembers the hot harvest nights not too long ago."
>Talian says, "And the planned hot summer nights."
>Talian says, "So a lot of things are aimed for these specific times of year."
>Westryl says, "So just because you're hearing "This will be out in 4 months" doesn't mean there's 4 months work left on it. While that does mean you have to wait, it doesn't mean that we don't have a shelf of stuff waiting for you."
>Westryl says, "I'm saying that because I know there's been a lot of "we'll get that done some day" from various teams going back as far as I can remember."
>Westryl says, "If we're talking about it now, it's because it's well beyond that "some day" stage."
>Chisoni nods to Westryl.
>Westryl nods to Chisoni.
>Silkenflame just left.
>Silkenflame just arrived.
> * Nickert was just struck down!
>Chisoni says, "The last two things to bring up...verbs and sect preps. Verbs are still being investigated, especially in terms of viability and your suggestions. Sect preps are on their way, and your suggestions have been of great help there."
>Chisoni says, "Something very nice to look forward to. There are other sect issues at hand, but we can't really go into those at this point. I've made some references in the past though on the boards."
>Chisoni nods to Talian.
>Talian says, "Oh, and had one other tidbit to share on prediction before we open up the list."
>Talian says, "As some of you may or may not know.."
>Talian says, "Observation is pretty much a yes/no thing."
>Talian says, "At this current time."
>Talian says, "You learn or you don't."
>Sharlemagne just left.
> * Keladra was just struck down!
>Talian says, "This is changing quite a bit."
>Talian says, "There will be a quality aspect to each observation."
>Talian says, "And along that lines, hopefully make it not so impossible for newer mm's to actually observe."
>Talian says, "Always hated the simplistic nature of it previously."
> * Travisius was just struck down!
>Talian says, "And with that I think we are ready for the Q&A section of the meeting."
>Talian says, "Take it away westryl."
>Westryl says, "Quick guidelines.. First, one question per person. The first one you ask is it. So if everyone in the room whispers you to "Ask about telepathic basket weaving" make sure you want to know the answer before you ask it."
>Talian puts his charts in his stylish knapsack.
>Chisoni snickers.
>Westryl says, "Second, we'll reopen the list if time permits, until time constraits make us stop."
>Westryl says, "Any Moon Mage 5th or higher can join the list."
>Westryl just opened the meeting list.
>Hisaki adds his name to the meeting list.
>Mozzik adds his name to the meeting list.
>Rumet adds his name to the meeting list.
>Jujulee adds her name to the meeting list.
>Devonia adds her name to the meeting list.
Luq adds her name to the meeting list.
Leilen adds her name to the meeting list.
Toldorf adds his name to the meeting list.
Visicue adds his name to the meeting list.
Nynia adds her name to the meeting list.
The meeting list just closed.
>Talian glances at a meeting list.
>
Hisaki is next.

>Hobris just arrived.
>Westryl gestures at Hisaki, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Hisaki says, "Hello"
>Westryl smiles.
>Hisaki bows.
>Hisaki says, "My main question deals with a problem most people that I know are having lately"
>Westryl nods.
>Hisaki says, "Which is gaining Power Perception skill at high levels of skill"
>Hisaki says, "Firstly"
>Hisaki says, "At high circles, we're beginning to need an aweful lot of the skill"
>Hisaki says, "Higher levels than War Mages need in their "area of specialization""
>Hisaki says, "But I dont want to lose you on comparisoons"
>Diresu just left.
>Hisaki says, "comparisons between guilds"
>Talian says, "The amount that wm's need isn't relevant."
>Hisaki says, "right"
>Hisaki says, "As I was saying,"
>Talian says, "PP is very learnable up to considerable levels."
>Hisaki says, "You say that but nobody I know is able to do it"
>Hisaki says, "at considerable levels"
>Talian says, "There are a number of potential options to do it."
>Hisaki says, "Nobody... so it's some secret that nobody knows"
>Diresu just arrived.
>Hisaki says, "No skill that I know has been cloaked in such secrect"
>Hisaki says, "secrecy"
>Hisaki says, "as far as learning"
>Talian says, "We aren't in the business of telling you how to learn."
>Talian says, "There have been a number of great suggestions on the boards."
>Talian says, "And from my spot checks, a great many people are learning very well."
>Chisoni nods to Talian.
>Hisaki says, "I dont believe you"
>Hisaki says, "sorry"
>Hisaki says, "everyone I know can not learn"
>Talian says, "Your loss."
>Hisaki says, "everyone's loss"
>Talian says, "Not all those that are learning."
>Westryl asks, "What exactly is the question, Hisaki?"
>Hisaki says, "The question is, when can we expect some more viable options to train the power perception skill"
>Hisaki says, "which we sorely need"
>Talian says, "A month ago, are there now."
>Hisaki asks, "a month ago what are?"
> * Timpkin was just struck down!
>Hisaki says, "everyone I know has been testing timers all around that seem to change"
>Hisaki says, "Ravennesque has shown me extensive tests"
>Hisaki says, "where she has charted timers"
>Hisaki says, "and when she went by them"
>look[Imperial Palace, Conference Chambers]

>Westryl says, "Then the best advice we can give is to test more, and play with your options."
>Hisaki says, "she learned worse then by just cycling through the list forever and ever"
>Westryl gestures at Hisaki, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>Westryl says, "Moving on..."
>
Mozzik is next.

>Westryl gestures at Mozzik, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Mozzik stretches.
>Mozzik says, "Alright... I got one real question here..."
>Mozzik says, "Mainly... new spells. I know when v2.1 came out there were several spells on that list."
>Mozzik says, "Potence Shift, Phase shift in particular... also interested in Grazhir's Effigy..."
>Mozzik asks, "Are any of these (or other spells) likly to come out in say... the next, year?"
>Talian says, "We probably will see some new spells by end of year."
>Talian says, "Not sure which yet."
>Contemplator Lumous just arrived.
>Mozzik says, "And while I'm up here before you shut me up... What are the Y'shai searching for when I was having them search people on the way in... and would you prefer I bring Silly String, Nerf guns, or water guns to Simucon for us to settle difference's with..."
>Mozzik snickers.
>Mozzik asks, "Alright... so otherwise no new spells till the year is out?"
>Talian scratches his head.
>Chisoni makes a note to bring her guard dog.
>Westryl says, "ss 8883"
>Talian says, "Thought I just said yes, very likely."
>Westryl coughs.
>Mozzik says, "Okay, lemme rephrase."
> * Malspar was just struck down!
>Mozzik asks, "I mean... like are we talking, HSN, or... perhaps december?"
>Talian says, "Yes its highly probably we will see new spells this year, no we don't know which."
>Mozzik says, "Both are before the end of the year."
>Talian says, "Unlikely by HSN, I will focus on existing ones first."
>Mozzik nods to Talian.
>Diviner Orfen just arrived.
>Westryl gestures at Mozzik, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>
Rumet is next.

>Westryl gestures at Rumet, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Rumet casually observes the area.
>Rumet asks, "I would like to start out by saying that I think Hisaki had a great question which you guys failed to answer to any reasonable length. Cutting people off as they speak, you guys are certainly taking ques from the Caymus era. My question deals with the focus of the guild. Where is our focus? What is our focus? What direction is the guild headed?"
>Talian says, "I'm focusing on the librarian aspect."
>Talian says, "I think everyone really enjoys it."
>Talian shifts his weight.
>Rumet leans to his left slightly.
Talian grins.
>Siaghon just left.
>Talian says, "Well a lot of what I talked about in that thread recently."
>Rumet says, "I think the scholarly aspect of the guild which has been so heavily totted as of late, is a misrepresentation of what the guild is."
>Rumet smiles at Talian.
>Talian says, "I don't know that we'll ever see a static guild manifesto."
>Siaghon just arrived.
>Talian says, "For any guild really."
>Talian says, "The scholarly aspect is and will continue to be a big part of the guild."
>Talian says, "Everyone say it with me, we are NOT lunar warrior mage.s"
>Rumet asks, "So we have no focus?"
>Rumet scratches his head.
>Rumet says, "I'm sorry I don't understand."
>Talian says, "Our focus will be the other aspects of magic, prediction, mysticism, visions, and yes, scholarly applications."
>Rumet says, "You guys are as vauge as ever..."
>Talian says, "I'm not intentionally being."
>Talian says, "I was doing my best to be frank and honest in that thread."
>Talian says, "Those are the things I try to look at when I'm proposing things, and developing things."
>Zafod just arrived.
>Rumet says, "Alright I guess i'm done then."
>Rumet smiles.
>Westryl nods.
>Westryl gestures at Rumet, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>
Jujulee is next.

>Westryl gestures at Jujulee, giving her permission to speak freely.
>Jujulee says, "Grus"
>Westryl smiles at Jujulee.
>Jujulee says, "My question is in regards to what we percieve when we use PP"
>Jujulee says, "I've noticed since my return we perceive crappy magic regarding anything but the stellar book..."
>Jujulee says, "Why is this? We did nae before"
>Talian asks, "You are aware that mana fluctuates?"
>Jujulee says, "Yea, but nae that much"
>Talian says, "Yes, that much."
>Westryl says, "Quite a bit, actually."
>Talian says, "Nothing changed with the actual mana."
>Talian says, "From a technical aspect."
>Jujulee says, "I get with 96 PP flickering, shimmering, and below but stellar is usually slowly pulsating"
>Talian nods.
>Jujulee asks, "Why?"
>Jujulee says, "Yes it did change"
>Talian says, "No, it didn't."
Jujulee says, "It had to have."
>Talian says, "I'm not sure what else to tell you."
>Westryl says, "We haven't changed mana levels at all."
>Talian says, "Just keep working it, and the good phases will return."
>Jujulee says, "Please stop whispering"
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>A looming Shadow Servant trudges in, following its master.
>Westryl asks, "Did that answer your question?"
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Jujulee says, "Nae but then I was expecting better. People do nae distract the person asking questions."
>Jujulee says, "and do nae insult them either"
>Westryl rubs Jujulee gently, massaging her muscles.
>Westryl gestures at Jujulee, asking her to no longer speak freely.
>A looming Shadow Servant trudges off, following its master.
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.

>Westryl smiles at Devonia.
>Devonia exclaims, "First off, just wanted to say how happy I am to get a chance to finally meet the new team!"
>Devonia gets an impish expression on her face, and lets out a hearty cheer.
>Westryl says, "You're up."
>Westryl says, "Thanks. It's nice to be met."
>Devonia asks, "My question is in regards to predictions and the visions you get for the length of time the prediction is suppose to last. In the past, you would get a specific vision, but there has never been a specific time for that vision. Will they or can they become more specific in the future, so we can tell the person we've done the prediction for, how long it's going to last?"
>Waylay just left.
>Talian ponders PAFO.
>Talian says, "Heh, just kidding."
>Devonia ponders PAFO too.
>Talian says, "There will still be some variance at times."
>Waylay just arrived.
>Devonia asks, "Will we be able to time them?"
>Chisoni says, "Predicting is not an exact science, so to speak."
>Devonia says, "Or have a better general idea...before they could be as vague as 5 minutes to 55..that's pretty un-exact."
>Talian says, "In some cases ya, others no."
>Devonia nods.
>Devonia says, "Alright."
>Devonia hums to herself.
>Talian says, "Prediction will never be getting a receipt for exactness."
>Myrynne just left.
>Talian says, "Some of the tools will have different levels of accuracy."
>Devonia asks, "Is there a point to the time vision then?"
>Talian asks, "To let you know long it is?"
>Talian scratches his head.
>Westryl says, "We're not making cookie cutter tools, so some will be better for one aspect, like getting an accurate "vision" and some will be better for other things."
>Chisoni says, "Think of them as guidelines, rather than absolutes."
>Talian nods.
>Devonia says, "Alright, thank you."
>Devonia smiles.
>Westryl smiles.
>Westryl gestures at Devonia, asking her to no longer speak freely.
>
Luq is next.

>Westryl gestures at Luq, giving her permission to speak freely.
>Luq says, "First, my thanks and congratulations to the new team. It's always difficult taking over a vacated position. You've all obviously spent a lot of time and effort on trying to be of service to our guild. We need good and capable guild staff, and we appreciate your efforts."
>Westryl smiles at Lumous.
>Luq asks, "My concern is with the arbitrary nature of the new reqs. I've been thru the catch-up-survival 3 months drill, and the catch-up-atrso-even though we-grandfathered-it 3 months drill, and now I will shortly face a catch-up-scholarship 3 months drill. Any chance of grandfathering scholarhsip, to catch the schol that wasn't learned when astro grandfathered?"
>Talian says, "Afraid not."
>Chisoni says, "Astrology was an entirely new skill, hence the exception."
> * Arstaron was just struck down!
>Luq asks, "Then how about rethinking this sudden large requirement?"
> * Ziltrin was just struck down!
>Talian says, "Very happy with where it is now."
>Chisoni says, "It has been discussed ad infinitum. We are happy with it."
>Chisoni nods to Talian.
Luq says, "You may be, but we have seen your sensitivity"
>Westryl says, "I think it's better to have it now, with warning, than in increments, personally."
>Talian sniffles.
>Talian says, "I'm sensitive."
>Chisoni pats Talian on the back.
>Luq asks, "Really?"
>Talian says, "We know change is difficult."
>Talian says, "The three of us up front here lived through all those too."
>Silkenflame just left.
>Silkenflame just arrived.
>Luq says, "I quit. Go on down the list"
>Chisoni says, "Absolutely."
>Westryl says, "Right now it's one a single instance of catching up. Imagine every few months having to catch up again..."
>Silkenflame just left.
>Westryl says, "Okay. Moving on, then."
>Westryl gestures at Luq, asking her to no longer speak freely.
>
Leilen is next.

>Westryl gestures at Leilen, giving her permission to speak freely.
>Leilen asks, "Will the new divination tools eventually break, like the bones do, or will they be permanent?"
>Westryl smiles at Leilen.
>Westryl says, "All tools will break, though some will be more durable than others."
>Leilen says, "Also..."
>Silkenflame just arrived.
>Westryl says, "That allows us to prove the opportunity for them to get better with use."
>Leilen asks, "Will these be always available or just for a limited time?"
>Marista just left.
>Westryl asks, "What do you mean?"
>Westryl asks, "Like sold only by a single fest merchant once?"
>Leilen asks, "Once released will the new tools always be available to buy or will they just be availabel for a few days?"
>Westryl says, "Ah, the plan is for a regular shop"
>Leraar just left.
>Leilen says, "Many thanks, that's all I wanted to know"
>Leilen smiles.
>Westryl says, "And eventually, all tools will be able to be made by players."
>Leilen exclaims, "Excellent!"
>Westryl smiles.
>Westryl asks, "All set?"
>Leilen nods.
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Westryl gestures at Leilen, asking her to no longer speak freely.
>
Toldorf is next.

>Westryl gestures at Toldorf, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Toldorf calmly says, "I'll make this short..."
>Westryl smiles at Toldorf.
>Toldorf calmly says, "For the lesser-known sects like the Nomads, the Peths and mine, the Gypsies, I just had a quick divination tool question..."
>Toldorf calmly asks, "Will Fortune's Path members finally get access to Tokka cards that are functional and not just ruined? Or is it still a pipedream for us?"
>Toldorf gets some ruined cards from inside his catapult basket.
>Toldorf glances at some ruined cards.
>Chisoni grins.
>Talian says, "Tokka cards are coming, they won't be in the first 5 though."
>Chisoni says, "And here I was thinking it would be more fun to read sheep entrails."
>Toldorf nods.
>Toldorf chuckles.
>Chisoni sniffles.
>Toldorf calmly asks, "Thank you, just wanted confirmation, is there an ETA?"
>Talian shakes his head.
>Toldorf nods.
>A looming Shadow Servant trudges off, following its master.
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>A looming Shadow Servant trudges in, following its master.
>Chisoni giggles.
>Toldorf calmly says, "That's all."
>Toldorf calmly says, "Thank you."
>Westryl smiles at Toldorf.
>Westryl gestures at Toldorf, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>
Visicue is next.

>Westryl gestures at Visicue, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Visicue says, "Thank you for the opportunity. I am concerned about the unbalancing of the sects you saw that resulted in the loss of the Taisgath turtle. Since there has been an unbalancing of the sects, will you attempt to rebalance them? Once a character joins the Heritage House, there is no other sect to join."
>Westryl smiles at Visicue.
>Visicue bows to Westryl.
>Talian pulls out a set of scales.
>Visicue chuckles at Talian.
>Talian says, "I'd say we have began the rebalancing with that."
>Visicue squints at Talian.
>Visicue says, "The elimination of the turtle does not change the relative number of Heritage House members"
>Visicue nods to Talian.
>Talian says, "Not intended to."
>Visicue says, "That was the essence of my inquiry"
>Talian says, "Its not so much about the hard numbers, as the inequities in what they provide."
>Visicue asks, "If there have been a disproportionate number of Heritage House members, due to the turtle, then do you intend to eliminate some members of that sect and rebalance?"
>Talian asks, "Kill a few?"
>laughThe voice of a Goldcap suddenly whispers, "You shouldn't do that here, Eldrad."
>Talian licks his lips.
>Westryl says, "The hard numbers simply reflected that inequity. Just as a guild with a super powerful spell of death would have more folks."
>Visicue asks, "Oh, then it was a matter of too much power in too few hands?"
Chisoni says, "Mmmm."
>Westryl says, "And too much power in general."
> * Ikei was just struck down!
>Visicue nods to Westryl.
>Chisoni says, "It's been stressed before...one shouldn't join a sect simply for the toys it has."
>Westryl says, "The turtle provided too much ease of travel to the islands, which are supposed to be distant."
>Westryl says, "That was as much an issue as the sect part."
>Westryl asks, "Does that answer your question?"
>Visicue says, "Then I understand the imbalance was not the preference for the Heritage House, but rather just the travel abilities"
>Visicue nods to Westryl.
>Talian says, "Well they sort of go hand in hand."
>Westryl says, "It was a bit of both. Can't have one without the other, really."
>Westryl nods.
>Westryl gestures at Visicue, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>
Nynia is next.

>Westryl gestures at Nynia, giving her permission to speak freely.
>Nynia curtsies.
>Westryl smiles at Nynia.
>Nynia says, "I'll try to be quick."
>Ahrius just left.
>
Nynia hums cheerfully to herself.
>Nynia says, "As the "masters of power perception" why can we not even come close to locking the skill at levels of 300-400+, yet warmies, the "masters of TM" can manage to lock PP at over 500? I know you said don't compare us to warmies, but our overall magic reqs are almost the same."
>Ahrius just arrived.
>Talian says, "Its not all about the all mighty mind lock."
>Nynia says, "It sure helps though."
>Nynia smiles.
>Talian says, "There is a lot more factors to it than mere numbers."
>Nynia nods to Talian.
>Nynia says, "I understand there are a lot of factors, but we require 70 more ranks of PP at 100th circle than warmies require in TM."
>Nynia says, "Once again, we aren't warmies, but its a decent comparison."
>Talian asks, "Not to be blunt but..and?"
>Talian says, "TM is not PP"
>Talian says, "The comparision is not remotely there."
>Nynia says, "I know that, but they are both the same skill set, and we are both magic based guilds."
>Nynia says, "And there is now a 150+ warmie and moonies just got set back another 10-15 circles."
>Talian asks, "150 eh?"
>Nynia says, "He is prolly close"
>Nynia ducks her head.
>Tosid just left.
>Nynia asks, "But what about some of the higher moonies catching up 90+ ranks of PP?"
>Telepath Rilely just arrived.
>Nynia says, "Some people cant get past concentrating."
>Nynia takes a sip of her frostwynne.
>Nynia nods to a flagon of Elven frostwynne.
>Westryl says, "Again, it's possible to learn well, and there are folks that have done the testing to find it."
>Nynia nods to Westryl.
>Nynia asks, "Promise?"
>Nynia giggles.
>Westryl says, "Absolutely. There have been posts on the board to that effect."
>Nynia nods to Westryl.
>Westryl asks, "All set?"
>Westryl smiles at Nynia.
>Nynia says, "I suppose, are you going to show anything more about the divination tools? All ya did was show a chart..."
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Talian says, "Afraid its not fully 'active' over here in prime yet so that'd be impossible."
>Talian says, "We do our work like that in the development instance."
>Nynia says, "Okies, thanks everyone."
>Nynia curtsies.
>Nynia takes a sip of her frostwynne.
>Westryl smiles.
>Westryl gestures at Nynia, asking her to no longer speak freely.
>Westryl just opened the meeting list.
>Cydrik adds his name to the meeting list.
>Rakisla adds her name to the meeting list.
>Larcus adds his name to the meeting list.
Harkell adds his name to the meeting list.
Vivviane adds her name to the meeting list.

Laerys adds his name to the meeting list.

Visicue adds his name to the meeting list.
The meeting list just closed.
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Illusionz just left.
>Illusionz just arrived.
>Aluriaz holds hands with Illusionz.
>Westryl says, "Second round."
>
Cydrik is next.

>Westryl gestures at Cydrik, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Westryl nods to Cydrik.
>Cydrik says, "Thanks for all of your hard work and for this meeting"
>Cydrik bows.
>Cydrik says, "My question is two-fold regarding invisibility status and the RF spell."
>Cydrik says, "One, I am interested in knowing your position regarding the present and ongoing changes to invisibility status."
>Cydrik asks, "Two, assuming that invisibility takes the current and foreseeable hits (i.e. can be searched out by anyone with 70 perception, identity is revealed, can be attacked, etc.) would it be possible to see RF add benefits other than just invisibility?"
>Cydrik says, "Such as making RF a barrier spell as well as an invisibility spell (you are surrounding yourself with a magical field after all)."
>Westryl says, "If you've already asked a question, please leave the list so others get a chance? Sorry to interrupt, Cydrik."
>Cydrik says, "Not at all"
>Cydrik smiles.
>Talian says, "Good question on RF."
>Cydrik says, "Well, invisibility and Rf"
>Talian nods.
>Talian says, "Unfortunately, that's concept of invisiblity is still under game wide review."
>Talian says, "er The concept rather."
>Cydrik nods.
>Talian says, "As in, not really in our hands."
>Moon Mage Myrelle's group just arrived.
>Leraar just arrived.
> * Kilan was just struck down!
>Cydrik says, "But certainly you are 'in the loop' in this process. At least, I hope."
>Talian says, "Should the end result be something that really doesn't seem worth a spell, we'll definitely give RF the once over and see what we can do."
>Talian says, "Indeed, but not something I can comment on at this time."
>Cydrik says, "Well, for the meanwhile, many of the utility aspects of RF have been dissolved"
>Talian nods.
>Cydrik says, "Seriously, anyone with 70 perception can search you out and see your face. It makes the silent spy straetegy... difficult"
>Talian says, "Trying to wait for the result of those discussions before changing it, so we can do it once rather than twice."
>Talian says, "But if it continues to be excessively timely, we may go ahead and do something."
>Hyret just arrived.
>Cydrik says, "Fair enough"
>Cydrik bows.
>Nagrop just arrived.
>Westryl gestures at Cydrik, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>Westryl says, "Opening the list for a moment for someone who hasn't already asked a question."
>Westryl just opened the meeting list.
>Kryeus adds his name to the meeting list.
>Ileia adds her name to the meeting list.
The meeting list just closed.
>Westryl says, "Whoops, Ileis snuck on too. No harm done."
>Westryl chuckles.
>
Rakisla is next.

>Westryl gestures at Rakisla, giving her permission to speak freely.
>Rakisla bows.
>Westryl smiles at Rakisla.
>Rakisla says, "First off, thank you for the opportunity to speak."
>Rakisla asks, "I was just wondering where all this focus on enchanting and prediction leaves us younger members of the Guild?"
>Rakisla asks, "I mean, what do you see as our focus, until we are able to enchant and such?"
>Rakisla smiles.
>Talian says, "Well prediction will get a bit easier for that range."
>Rakisla nods.
> * Gordar was just struck down!
>Rakisla says, "Sitting around all day predicting isn't all that exciting, however"
>Talian says, "Well you've still got the general activities."
>Student Fenildur just arrived.
>Westryl says, "We've got some additional abilities geared toward the pre-enchant crowd planned as well, we're just not prepared to talk about them yet."
>Talian says, "Magic, mech, making fun of fellow members."
>Rakisla shrugs.
>Rakisla says, "well, that's all well and good, i suppose..."
>A looming Shadow Servant trudges off, following its master.
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>A looming Shadow Servant trudges in, following its master.
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Westryl says, "Working skills, learning spells...."
> * Ravmond was just struck down!
>Rakisla asks, "catching up on reqs?"
>Westryl says, "There's always something to work on."
>Rakisla hums to herself.
>Talian says, "Hiding from kssarh."
>Talian says, "Stealing Mortom's mirror."
>Westryl says, "Participating in events."
>Westryl gasps at Talian!
>Chisoni raises an eyebrow.
>Chisoni laughs at Talian.
>Rakisla smiles.
>Chisoni says, "The world would end if that happened."
>Talian says, "Big wide world of things to do early on."
>Tosid just arrived.
>Rakisla asks, "Right, but what about our FOCUS?"
>Rakisla blinks.
>Rakisla says, "sorry"
>Westryl says, "Define focus."
>Rakisla says, "didnt mean to shout there"
>Talian says, "Runes, lots of runes."
>Talian nods.
>Rakisla asks, "well, you have stated that our focus will be on scholarly things, enchanting and predicting, no?"
>Talian says, "And cambrinth."
>Rakisla says, "our Guild path, as it were"
>Talian says, "That's a part of it, but we're still mages foremost."
>Rakisla says, "ok"
>Talian gets a twisted cambrinth armband from inside his stylish knapsack.
>Talian attaches a twisted cambrinth armband to his upper arm.
>Talian pats a twisted cambrinth armband.
>Rakisla asks, "so, travel is or is not included in things we have some specialization in?"
>Westryl says, "Sure it is."
> * Timpkin was just struck down!
>Westryl says, "I think some of the problem here is scope versus focus."
>Rakisla nods.
>Rakisla says, "Please elaborate, if you will"
>Westryl says, "If you define a guild by a single ability or set of ability, you limit the scope of what it can accomplish."
>Rakisla smiles at Westryl.
>Westryl says, "Traders suffered from that for a long time."
>Rakisla nods.
>Westryl says, "Traders rent a caravan and trade..."
>Westryl says, "Older traders make more money..."
>Westryl says, "They're broadening the scope of that guild to include other things..."
>Westryl says, "We've always been fairly broad."
> * Tamasan was just struck down!
>Rakisla says, "but with the changes to Moon Gate and such, travel has been much harder for those younger mages"
>Westryl says, "So when someone asks us what our focus is, we don't want to say "travel" or "esp" or something."
>Westryl nods.
>Rakisla says, "so, no enchanting, no Gates..."
> * Dhara was just struck down!
>Rakisla says, "hunting is not our strong point, i have no qualms with that"
> * Kokem was just struck down!
>Westryl says, "Hunting can be a strong point, though."
>Rakisla blinks.
>Telepath Rilely just arrived.
>Westryl says, "We're TM primary, and have some great spells."
>Student Siaghon just arrived.
>Westryl says, "It's just not something we put in the forefront."
>Rakisla nods.
> * Gilvore was just struck down!
>Rakisla says, "ok, poor choice of wording there"
>Rakisla smiles.
>Westryl says, "But if you're focusing on two abilities, moongates and enchanting, then you're keeping your focus too narrow, I think."
>Rakisla shakes her head.
>Westryl says, "Just as a barb that's only interested in forging will ask "What about me, I can't forge well""
>Hisaki just left.
>Rakisla asks, "so, what are young Mages to focus on? RP?"
>Westryl says, "And the skills you need as a Moon Mage, just as every other guild has the same focus for younger members."
>Westryl nods.
>Rakisla shrugs.
>Rakisla says, "whatever, i give up"
>Rakisla says, "move on"
>Westryl says, "If there are things you'd like to see, by all means post them."
>Rakisla bows.
>Westryl gestures at Rakisla, asking her to no longer speak freely.
>
Larcus is next.

>Westryl gestures at Larcus, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Westryl smiles at Larcus.
>Larcus says, "My question is about the planned Partial Displacement spell. What prompted the new design for it? The current design mentioned on the DR website sounds interesting, though it does make me wonder what happened to the 'displace treasure out of boxes' idea."
>Larcus sheepishly says, "Well, that and I was sort of looking forward to reading a 'teleport opponent's still beating heart out of their chest' crit message."
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Talian ponders.
>Talian says, "To be brutally honest"
>Talian says, "The design change came before I was in the loop."
>Hisaki just arrived.
>Talian says, "I'm honestly not sure what prompted it."
>Talian asks, "Have any insight Chisoni?"
>Chisoni says, "I admit to being clueless, though I recall chats with Rigby about it. I do not remember though, I'm afraid."
>Chisoni frowns.
> * Garpike was just struck down!
>Talian asks, "I'll do some investigating and come back to the boards about it, fair enough?"
>Larcus nods.
>Larcus says, "That'll be fine. Thanks."
>Talian says, "Just wasn't up to speed at the time."
>Westryl says, "Rigby's still got his hand in our spells, and he was doing work on PD when that changed. It's one of our inherited changes."
>Westryl asks, "All set?"
>Westryl smiles at Larcus.
>Larcus nods to Westryl.
>Westryl gestures at Larcus, asking him to no longer speak freely.
Chisoni says, "We'll beat it out of him."
>
Harkell is next.

>Westryl gestures at Harkell, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Harkell says, "Hello"
>Harkell bows.
>Westryl smiles at Harkell.
>Harkell slides a cambrinth ring onto his finger.
> * Garbig was just struck down!
>Harkell says, "As I am still young to the guild, I have had no problem with predicting or PP"
>Silkenflame just left.
> * Radggot was just struck down!
>Harkell says, "As a matter of fact my PP is 6 ranks above my Problem area of PM"

Obvious exits: south.
>Harkell says, "Seeing as how I am NOT a lunar war mage, I can't seem to get good build off of spells unless chain casted to annoy the room"
>Nagrop just arrived.
>Harkell asks, "Any new spells or a good reason why this is?"
>Talian asks, "Build off, you mean learning?"
>Harkell says, "I've heard the best way to build PM is targeted magic"
>Harkell says, "Correct"
>Talian says, "There are some spells that will teach."
>Talian says, "We always want more."
>Harkell asks, "For lower levels?"
>Talian says, "For all, definitely."
>Moon Mage Myrelle just arrived.
>Tigo just arrived.
>Harkell says, "I'm guessing that Teleport and the other mana intensive spells teach well, but being young, teleport is kinda far away"
>Myrelle holds hands with Whinsoul.
> * Charakat was just struck down!
>Moon Mage Myrelle just arrived.
> * Aurestes was just struck down!
>Amaldur just left.
>Tenoctris just arrived.
>Harkell says, "Popular belief is SHadows and CV, while those do teach, you have to chain cast them to annoying proportions for any good learning"
>Amaldur just arrived.
>Westryl says, "It can be difficult to balance out how you should be casting to learn, since it changed with the magic rewrite."
>Talian says, "That's something better discussed among your guildfellows for the hows and whys."
> * Borric was just struck down!
>Moon Mage Myrelle just arrived.
>Eleayna just left.
>Westryl says, "And I'll say yes, in general, it's easier to lock up while hunting, and that's something I'd like to see balanced out better, but experience is a fickle mistress."
>A looming Shadow Servant trudges off, following its master.
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>A looming Shadow Servant trudges in, following its master.
>Telepath Zasko just arrived.
>Westryl says, "The realities and requirements of combat I think tends to force folks into the more effective casting."
>Harkell says, "I didn't plan on getting any "combat" spells until around 30th circle, but it will take forever to egt there with my current PM learning rate"
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Moon Mage Javers just arrived.
>Westryl says, "You may want to play around with how you're casting to learn, then. I think a lot of folks are still using the old wisdom."
> * Siim was just struck down!
>Westryl asks, "All set?"
>Harkell says, "I shuffle through all my spells, I guess that's the best I can do for now"
>A looming Shadow Servant disappears.
>Harkell nods.
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Harkell bows.
> * Aramys was just struck down!
> * Gorteous was just struck down!
>Westryl nods.
>Westryl gestures at Harkell, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>
Vivviane is next.

>Westryl gestures at Vivviane, giving her permission to speak freely.
>Vivviane waves.
>Westryl smiles at Vivviane.
>Vivviane says, "Don't hate me for my whispers."
>
Vivviane hums cheerfully to herself.
>Vivviane asks, "I hope you'll forgive me for asking 2 questoins since one likely has an easy response. First, any idea when the winners of the book contest will be announced? And second is there a chance Pethians can get into their sect hall before su helmas is released like Trib said he'd do?"
>Westryl says, "On the first, that's next up on my to do list."
>Vivviane says, "How many entries did you get? It's Pathians fault for the third question."
>Vivviane nods.
>Vivviane points at Pathian and blames him for all her problems.
>Westryl says, "I don't know offhand, but around a half dozen."
>Talian gets an impish expression on his face, and lets out a hearty cheer.
>Vivviane nods.
>Westryl says, "And we hadn't discussed it beforehand, but barring anything unforseen, I don't see why Pethians wouldn't get first crack at it."
>Vivviane nods.
>Westryl says, "Su Helmas, not the book contest."
>Westryl chuckles.
>Westryl asks, "All set?"
>Vivviane says, "Actually Trib had said we needn't wait for su helmas to be done.."
>Vivviane says, "He was gonna make a special way into the sect hall.... so we didn't have to wait since it was basically done."
>Westryl nods.
>Westryl says, "I don't want to make promises yet, since it's all in new hands now."
>Vivviane nods.
>Vivviane says, "And Itron wants to see it before he gets shipped off to war."
>Talian says, "Tell him to send the date, and we'll go for right after."
>Vivviane says, "So you HAVE to do it soon or your... um.. unamerican or soemthing."
>Vivviane says, "I'm done."
>Westryl chuckles.
>Westryl gestures at Vivviane, asking her to no longer speak freely.

> * Jaxzon was just struck down!
>Growlyn bows.
>Growlyn says, "okay....my question is in regards to the new reqs and specifically scholarship"
>Hisaki just left.
>Growlyn says, "as we all are well aware of..the req has gone up from basically nothing to sizeable amount.."
>Growlyn says, "and this has happened at the same time changes were made to teaching"
>Growlyn says, "we are now able to learn teaching much more easily..but scholarship not nearly as much"
>Growlyn says, "my question boils down to this...will spell books be brought back...they would be an invaluable tool to help meet the new scholarship challenges"
>Growlyn smiles.
>Growlyn pants.
>Westryl says, "That's completely out of our hands. We don't own spellbooks."
>Growlyn asks, "so noway at all?"
>Chisoni says, "We can suggest, but we can't promise."
Westryl says, "GM Skralthaen does, and it's his call when or if they come back."
>Growlyn says, "I am well aware the sigil scrolls work it quite nicely as I have seen "
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Growlyn says, "I am speaking for all those who cant enchant"
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Growlyn smiles.
>Westryl says, "There are other ways to learn rather well."
>Growlyn says, "I know that observing and listening and readinb books work it"
>Growlyn says, "but not nearly as well as when yee can enchant"
>Westryl nods.
>Growlyn says, "we are short changing our younger members"
>Westryl says, "I still think it's quite learnable. I've seen folks get to 100ish or so without a spellbook or enchanting."
>Growlyn says, "I agree...I was at around 100 when I learned to enchant"
Westryl says, "And we're not precluding new ways."
>Growlyn says, "but those werent east ranks"
>Growlyn says, "easy"
>Westryl says, "But spellbooks are just out of our control I'm afraid."
> * Evetriall was just struck down!
>Westryl says, "I can ask about getting them back in, but that's the best I can offer."
>Growlyn says, "well...I just had to ask...as I feel that spellbooks would be a valuable tool for all members"
>Growlyn nods.
>Westryl asks, "All set?"
>Growlyn says, "yes..thank you"
>Westryl smiles.
>Westryl gestures at Growlyn, asking him to no longer speak freely.

>Collettea says, "which are many and thus"
>Collettea says, "how do we seek balance"
>Collettea says, "without removing our skills and abilities"
>Collettea says, "or down tweaking them"
>Collettea says, "and I would ask"
>Talian says, "I'm afraid you need to phrase the question better."
>Collettea says, "a greater understanding than I have seen thus far in this meeting if you would allow me"
>Westryl asks, "So you're asking how we achieve balance without removing skills and abilities?"
>Collettea says, "yes I am we are consistently "
>Collettea says, "downtweaked"
>Collettea asks, "shall we not raise the bar for once?"
>Collettea asks, "and give what is due by time and consistency?"
>Westryl says, "As I said at the beginning of the meeting, this marks the end of the downteaks, barring anything unforseen."
>Talian says, "Some times things are just to powerful period."
>Collettea says, "but you just did one"
>Talian says, "Raising other things to match them creates the term known as 'arms race'"
>Mystic Maconaie just arrived.
> * Azhag was just struck down!
>Collettea says, "by removing the heritage house ability"
>Collettea says, "you downtweaked again"
Deeyn just left.
>Talian says, "Yes, that was before now."
>Collettea says, "the clerics kin kill in a second with chill spirit"
>Westryl says, "And now we're past that downteaks, yes."
>Collettea asks, "have we any defense?"
>Collettea says, "no"
>Eleayna just arrived.
>Westryl says, "This is ranging a bit far now."
>Collettea says, "we have heard promises many times past"
>Collettea says, "we need results"
>Collettea says, "we are a guild broken"
>Collettea says, "we need unity"
>Westryl says, "And you'll be seeing them shortly. We've outlined what we've got planned."
>Collettea says, "again promises"
>Collettea says, "we have had them"
>Collettea says, "show us"
> * Cliris was just struck down!
>Westryl says, "Okay. We will"
>Collettea asks, "do you not see the unrest?"
>Collettea asks, "do you not see our members fallen at other guilds hands?"
>Collettea says, "currently we have no power"
>Talian chuckles.
>Collettea says, "nothing to stand for"
>Westryl says, "This is getting way off your original topic."
>Collettea says, "my topic is"
>Tezirite Praxle just arrived.
>Collettea says, "downtweaks"
>Collettea says, "its in line"
>Talian says, "This isn't a discussion forum."
Collettea says, "we are weak"
>Talian says, "This is a Q&A."
>Collettea says, "raise us up is what we ask"
>Westryl says, "We'll be introducing a lot of new things shortly. Aside from what we've told you, I can't say more."
>Collettea asks, "why?"
>Collettea says, "we need to hear it"
Westryl says, "I can't hand you something that's not coded yet."
>Collettea says, "we are besaught with false promises "
>Collettea says, "give us hope to be what we are"
>Westryl says, "I'm afraid we need to move on now. If you feel we're lying to you, then perhaps you should find a guild that suits you better."
>Westryl says, "But we need to move on."
>Collettea says, "the teachers and the great mages"
>Westryl gestures at Collettea, asking her to no longer speak freely.
>A sluggish Shadow Servant trudges off, following its master.

>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Westryl smiles at Laerys.
>Laerys says, "One brief statement before the question"
>Zafod just arrived.
>Laerys says, "I understand the necessity for silence due to the size of the meeting, but for a newer member of the guild such as myself, it was disconcerting to be completely in the dark about much of what was discussed in the main part of the meeting, and have no ready way to ask for clarification"

>Elsbecca just arrived.
>Laerys says, "Anyway, for my question I wish to depart from the deadly serious nature of most of the previous querants."
>A cantankerous Shadow Servant trudges in, following its master.
>A cantankerous Shadow Servant trudges off, following its master.
>Laerys says, "Oh, I have no idea what the mirror wraith prophecy is and the events that unfurled around them, but that is largely my own fault for not being studious enough"
>Westryl says, "And we should soon have some books to rectify that."
>Laerys says, "I don't know what you meant by "Sect preps", and only have vague ideas what is involved in enchanting"
Westryl smiles.
>Laerys says, "But anyway..."
>Westryl says, "By sect preps we mean sect specific spell preparation messages."
Westryl nods.
>Westryl says, "But please continue."
Westryl smiles.
> * Faragin was just struck down!
>Laerys says, "For my question, I was wondering if there were any plans to introduce new guild titles to go along with the new prediction system. For example, with the ability to curse at will, titles such as "Hexcaster" would be nice"
>Westryl says, "We had a thread a few months ago on the message boards with title suggestions. Yes, we'd like to add more, so if you, or anyone else has suggestions, please post them."
>Laerys says, "Ah, okay....I was not wandering the realms a few months ago"
>Westryl smiles at Laerys.
>Laerys cackles at Westryl!
>Westryl says, "Well, welcome aboard."
>Westryl asks, "That answer your question?"
>Laerys asks, "Good enough, let's get back to the world-shattering dissension, shall we?"
>Laerys cackles!
>Westryl chuckles.
>Westryl gestures at Laerys, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>
Frigeon is next.

>Westryl gestures at Frigeon, giving her permission to speak freely.
>Frigeon smirks.
>Westryl smiles at Frigeon.
Frigeon says, "yes"
>Frigeon says, "back to the dissension"
>Frigeon smiles.
>Frigeon says, "i'm a touch slow here so"
>Shaakah just arrived.
>Westryl scratches Frigeon's back. Frigeon smiles blissfully.
>Frigeon says, "its not looking good for moon mages"
>Frigeon says, "and it really doesn't even have anything to do with you"
>Frigeon says, "PP learning is fine"
>Frigeon says, "just time consuming"
>Frigeon says, "our spells are pointless but there's nothing thats going to change that either"
> * Aramys was just struck down!
>Frigeon asks, "is anything going to be done to make sure we're still able to use our skills?"
>Frigeon asks, "such as the recent hiding changes?"
>Talian says, "Absolutely not, that would cripple the 'destroy the guild plan'."
>Talian says, "er, ."
>Westryl gives Talian a little prod between the shoulder blades.
>Frigeon says, "every rewrite seems to try and make it undesirable for other then a few targeted guilds to train or use a skill"
>Frigeon says, "predictions will be pretty pointless if it doesn't matter how much app or foraging you have"
>Westryl says, "Well, there will always be parts of skills that are only for certain guilds. We benefit from that as much as other guilds do."
>Westryl says, "But there's also the base skill that anyone can use."
>Telepath Zasko just arrived.
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Aysta just arrived.
>Frigeon says, "heh"
>Talian asks, "Maybe ask about a specific one instead of quite so openended?"
>Frigeon says, "ok trying again"
> * Crage was just struck down!
>Frigeon says, "hiding is going to be impossible for us soon in combat"
>Frigeon says, "thats something we know is coming"
>Talian says, "Nah, I don't think it'll be that bad."
>Talian says, "Still able to work in teams."
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Frigeon says, "not really viable but"
>Frigeon shrugs.
>Talian says, "No one's denying that hiding at melee while being faced is a loss, but that's not unique to us."
>Frigeon says, "i'm not really worried about hiding"
>Flametip just left.
>Frigeon says, "it seems to be happening with all skills"
>Talian nods.
>Frigeon says, "being that we are magic prime"
> * Kamaryn was just struck down!
>Talian says, "We just kind of go with the flow and do what we can in those casees, unfortunately they don't check with me on all decisions just yet."
>Frigeon says, "erm"
>Frigeon says, "its just frustrating"
>Talian nods.
>Frigeon says, "theres no level of training we can do"
>read second listI could not find what you were referring to.
>Frigeon says, "most of our stuff is to boost our other skills"
>Tenoctris just left.
>Tenoctris just arrived.
>Frigeon says, "no point to boosting anything if yer locked out anyways 200 ranks or 1000"
>Talian nods.
>Talian says, "Don't really have a good answer."
>Talian says, "We can just keep plugging away and expanding what we got."
>Frigeon says, "i didn't think you'd have a great say in stuff like that"
>Eleayna just left.
>Frigeon says, "its their systems"
>Frigeon says, "but its leaving us with nothing to do"
>Talian nods.
>Talian says, "Give us some time, still a pretty new team."
>Frigeon says, "to be honest"
>Frigeon says, "i don't really think we'll get anything from you"
>Laerys just left.
>Frigeon says, "heh"
>Talian chuckles.
>Talian says, "Certainly entitled to that opinion."
>Talian says, "Lets move on to the next question."
>Westryl says, "Time will tell."
>Laerys just arrived.
>Westryl gestures at Frigeon, asking her to no longer speak freely.
> * Gordar was just struck down!
>
Kryeus is next.
> * Healingheart was just struck down!
>Westryl gestures at Kryeus, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Kryeus says, "I'd like to raise yet another question about the scope of our guild, as well as our leadership."
>Kryeus says, "Several members have requested a solid definition of what it means to be a moon mage now."
>Kryeus says, "We can pick up a book in game and read about what we are supposed to be, but it seems that what we are in reality is arbitrarily decided by whatever team we happen to have."
>Westryl says, "I don't think anyone would like a solid definition, because that's too limiting."
>Kryeus says, "We have to use the spells and abilities you create, yet we have no real say in the direction of the guild."
>Kryeus says, "When we raise concern, we're told to leave any join another guild."
>Westryl says, "What's a solid definition of what it means to be a cleric? Or an Empath, or a Ranger? And what happens to those who don't fit that definition."
> * Antheta was just struck down!
>Kryeus says, "It's been said several times to players on the boards, and you yourself said it during this meeting."
>Kryeus says, "That's not a viable option."
>Kryeus says, "I, and i'm sure many others here, feel that you're jerking us around."
>Kryeus says, "You're holding this meeting and giving us vague promises of new stuff, but you're cutting us off when we ask about what we need to know now."
>Kryeus says, "And our supposed head just sits in the back and doesn't open her damn mouth."
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
> * Gauslar was just struck down!
>Chisoni raises an eyebrow.
>Kryeus nods to Chisoni.
>Westryl says, "Then let me try to answer that differently. Right now we're focusing on the prediction system and sects."
>Kryeus says, "You're letting the new guys do all the talking."
>Kryeus says, "Right, and you're telling us we're scholars."
>Kryeus asks, "That's fine, but why don't we have any control in what we are?"
>Talian asks, "What are you looking for here?"
>Westryl asks, "In what sense?"
>Kryeus says, "I want to know why our path is being just chosen for us, and why you're cutting off members that raise concerns."
>Kryeus says, "If a question is asked more than once, it should emphasize real concern within the guild."
>Talian says, "The reality of the situation is this game is a business."
>Kryeus says, "You're just ignoring that and moving on."
>Talian says, "And the folks that run it choose folks to handle the various aspects of it."
>Talian says, "Game design by democracy doesn't work."
>Kryeus says, "We don't want total control, we want a voice."
>Kryeus says, "I didn't join Talian's guild."
>Kryeus says, "I joined the moon mage guild."
>Talian asks, "Don't you think this meeting is about that voice?"
>Kryeus says, "This meeting is a joke."
>Kryeus says, "You're not answering even answering questions."
>Kryeus says, "All we're doing is sitting here and brooding."
>Kryeus says, "Whispering our unhappiness among ourselves because YOU won't listen."
Talian says, "To quote a barbarian friend, Not liking the answer doesn't mean you weren't given one."
Sarambor just left.
>Skindancer Tenion just arrived.
>Kryeus chuckles.
>Kryeus says, "You aren't answering at all."
>Talian says, "As you will."
>Talian says, "Lets move on."
>Westryl says, "I'm sorry you feel that way. We understand that there's a lot of discontent, so we felt a meeting to tell you what we're working on would help ease concerns."
>Kryeus says, "How original."
>Kryeus shakes his head at Talian.
>Westryl gestures at Kryeus, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>
Ileia is next.

>Westryl gestures at Ileia, giving her permission to speak freely.
>Ileia smiles.
> * Aeoleus was just struck down!
>Ileia says, "Since many of the questions revolve around power perception I just want to make a comment and then ask my question. My guildmates would not be asking these questions if it were not foremost on their mind. It is an obvious concern for a great portion of the guild. If there are unknown methods of learning, it would be very nice if you could at least give us a couple hints. "
>Ileia smiles.
>Ileia says, "and now"
>Westryl says, "Percieve everything you can."
>Ileia says, "my question"
>Ileia asks, "is that it?"
>Ileia smiles at Westryl.
>Westryl says, "Many folks underestimate what "everything you can" means, quite simply."
>Talian says, "Npcs are vastly underutilized, each other are as well."
>Ileia nods.
>Ileia says, "shadow servants "
>Talian says, "These were both mentioned on the boards."
>Talian says, "In various threads."
>Ileia nods.
>Ileia says, "I dont remember them but..."
>Ileia shrugs.
>Ileia says, "Talian, you had mentioned on the boards, that part of the reason for our high requirements in power perception and scholarship was because the skills had to be strong enough to support some things you wanted to develop for us. Can you expand on this at all? "
>Talian nods.
>Aysta just left.
>Ileia smiles at Talian.
>Talian says, "Time sense expansion, the interaction with the moons themselves."
>Zafod just arrived.
>Talian says, "Getting more accurate rise/fall information."
>Ileia raises an eyebrow.
>Ileia says, "well that will be useful"
>Ileia nods to Talian.
>Zafod stops teaching and looks around quietly.
>Talian says, "Hope ee a lot more, but that's what I'm okayed to talk about for now."
>Talian says, "er Hope to see."
>Aysta just arrived.
>Talian asks, "Fair enough?"
> * Drosjex was just struck down!
>Ileia says, "I'm just so far behind in scholarship .. I would like to be able to know I'm working towards something other then a number"
>Ileia says, "thanks"
>Talian says, "Scholar will play a role in the new prediction as well."
>Talian says, "And continued importance in enchanting."
>Ileia nods to Talian.
>Deeyn just arrived.
>Ileia says, "well thats it for me thank you for letting me slip in there West"
>Westryl chuckles.
>Westryl says, "Yer too fast for me."
>Westryl gestures at Ileia, asking her to no longer speak freely.
> * Aramys was just struck down!
> * Dyminica was just struck down!
>Westryl says, "Okay.. one more round."
>Westryl just opened the meeting list.
>Tenion adds his name to the meeting list.
Zafod adds his name to the meeting list.
Akaal adds his name to the meeting list.
Pathian adds his name to the meeting list.
Delvan adds his name to the meeting list.
The meeting list just closed.
>Westryl says, "We may open it again, depending on time."
>
Tenion is next.

>Westryl gestures at Tenion, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Westryl smiles at Tenoctris.
>Westryl smiles at Tenion.
>Westryl chuckles.
>Tenion says, "this gonna be fun gimme a second"
>Tenion whistles a merry tune.
>Westryl says, "Uh oh."
>Talian says, "Lets remember this is a q&a, not a soapbox."
>Rubiah just arrived.
>Talian hums the jeopardy theme.
>Tenion says, "I have a two part question that has to deal with PP as everyone knows is my biggest concern, First of its was said you were spot checking people but what kind of people are you spot checking because I still have learned only a total of 6 ranks of PP since the new reqs that does not seem like a decent rate of learning, and second I have tried all mentioned ways to learn that skill none get me moving decently I think instead of working on sect and predictions there should be work on PP system and being able to get the skill moving with out having to sit in one spot for 15 hrs a day to work it but be able to work it while doing other things"
>Tenion coughs.
>Tenion pants.
>Talian says, "I typically spot check the folks with higher ranks."
>Tenion asks, "happen to check me lately?"
>Talian says, "Yup."
>Tenion says, "being I am one of 3 99th moon mages"
>Tenion asks, "and I am learning how you expect me to move?"
>Talian says, "Nothing really to tell you expect keep trying and talk to those that are learning."
>Tenion says, "been there done that"
>Tenion says, "nadda"
>Talian says, "Nope, you don't seem to do particularly well."
>Tenion asks, "and that does not seem odd?"
>Talian says, "People with considerably more ranks ARE learning well all along the wall cycle."
>An ornery Shadow Servant disappears.
>Tenion says, "I can lock power perc at a wall but I have to sit on my arse all day to move it, is there any thought of maybe making the skill learnable while doing other things"
>Talian says, "The skill is learnable while doing other things."
>Tenion says, "specialy since we need a large amount of survival now"
>Talian says, "When I'm testing I often keep 4 magics moving great."
>Tenion says, "oh yes I forgot I can perc the moons while casting at critters"
>Tenion nods.
>Talian says, "I'm not sure what else to tell you than keep trying to learn from the player side, maybe there's more you don't realize."
>Tenion says, "I have tested every posted method"
>Tenion says, "and nothing has got the skill moving"
>Talian asks, "So more to learn yes?"
>Talian asks, "Since others are okay?"
>Tenion says, "every MM I have talked to with more power perc to me do nto seem to learning OK"
> * Kallarn was just struck down!
>Tenion says, "I have yet to see one 80+ MM post saying I am learning just dandy in PP"
>Talian asks, "Maybe they don't want to share their methods and want to get a lock on the skill?"
>Talian says, "I can't account for human nature."
>Talian says, "The system isn't broke."
> * Phanthom was just struck down!
>Tenion asks, "is there any work one the system to be able to work it in differant ways?"
>Moon Mage Javers just arrived.
>Talian says, "Lets move on to the next person on the list."
>Tenion rolls his eyes.
>Westryl gestures at Tenoctris, giving her permission to speak freely.
>
Zafod is next.

>Westryl gestures at Zafod, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Tenion says, "this is crap"
>Westryl smiles at Zafod.
>Tenion coughs.
>Westryl gestures at Tenion, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>Zafod says, "Hello"
>Westryl gestures at Tenoctris, asking her to no longer speak freely.
>Zafod smiles.
>Zafod says, "I would like to express my solidarity with Colletta in her expression of the extreme frustation I and many Moon Magii are feeling and beg you to take a long hard loomk at our concerns."
>Zafod says, "Thats my first comment."
>Zafod says, "Secondly .. a question on behalf of Illusionz ..."
>Zafod asks, "Are there any plans to develop Tsagoith island ? Like climbing or swimming or critters specially for MM's ?"
>Moon Mage Javers just arrived.
>Sharlemagne just arrived.
>Zafod says, "Seems a waste to have a sect hall and guild leader there when it could be so much more"
>Talian says, "Definitely would like to do more there."
>Zafod says, "Excellent .. and my last one ...."
>Zafod asks, "We have seen the constant and continual 'down-tweaking' of moon mages skills and abilities and I think I speak for a majority of us when I say this is making our lives harder & the game a lot less enjoyable. We see other Guilds gaining skills such as 'snipe', 'dual load' and 'shift' As you yourself have said .. DR is a business ...so what will we (your valued customers) be getting some compensation for the loss of our abilities (such as the Tasagoith Turtle ...) ?"
>Talian asks, "Everything we mentioned in the earlier part of the meeting?"
>Westryl says, "Sect tools, better prediction system, new enchants...."
Talian asks, "Development in general?"
>Zafod asks, "My concern with this ... is are they going to be useful skills that we can use in combat or such or more ...'sit around' skills ?"
>Augur Crinna just arrived.
>Westryl says, "Predicting on combat skills can't hurt."
>Waylay just left.
>Zafod says, "One last thing ..."
>Westryl says, "You've already had more than your one question. We need to move on."
>Westryl gestures at Zafod, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>
Akaal is next.

>Westryl gestures at Akaal, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Westryl smiles at Akaal.
>Akaal says, "hallo and howdy"
>Akaal says, "greetings to the new team"
>Talian nods to Akaal.
>Westryl says, "Thank you."
>Westryl smiles.
>Akaal says, "ok , this is my first guild meetin so please ... bear with me"
>Akaal rubs his hands together.
Hyret just left.
>Hyret just arrived.
>Akaal says, "my concern is PM ... and its lack of learning ... "
>Akaal says, "i have tried all manner of of prep and cast with my various spells and find that only hunting gives me decent learnins in pm"
>Akaal says, "i cannot sit and psycho cast shadows fer hours on end , it jus seems silly to me"
>Talian says, "May be missing a few, still some good options at your skill."
>Akaal says, "i use most of my spells to get around and work other skills and cant seem to breech concentrating"
>Akaal says, "i almost always have spells on me , with every other magic guild , even the half casters ... seem to get more pm than i do"
>Akaal asks, "is this right ?"
>Talian says, "Its more a matter of you needing to play more."
>Talian says, "And finding out the options."
>Akaal asks, "if it is , are only certain utility spells to build a good pm ?"
>Talian says, "Would be a good thing to converse with guildmates about."
>Akaal asks, "and if thats the case , is my path bein layed out before me ?"
>Akaal asks, "why should psy shield build better pm trhan say seers or cv ?"
>Akaal asks, "why does target magic build so much better than utils ?"
>Talian says, "Not all spells are going to be equal."
>Akaal asks, "as we are not geared toward combat why are we rewarded most by hunting ?"
>Talian says, "I'd say that's more a perception than an absolute."
>Akaal says, "thats would be my real question "
>Akaal says, "really now"
>Talian says, "We do want more spells out to improve learning at all elvels."
>Marista just arrived.
Flametip just arrived.
>Akaal says, "i can cast 6 spells in a row , all utils and not get past ponderin ..."
>Akaal says, "i cast 6 target spells , at low preps mind ye , and get locked "
>Akaal asks, "and that all proper and right ?"
>Fateweaver Gueniveve just arrived.
>Westryl says, "Again, we're looking at more spells to allow for new and better ways of learning magic."
Talian says, "Its not as black and white as that."
>Akaal says, "oh but it is"
>Talian says, "The particular target spell you might be casting might be more difficult than the particular non combat ones you are casting."
>Akaal says, "i have spent hours tryin to crack the pm mystery"
> * Borric was just struck down!
>Talian says, "Keep at it, you'll get there."
>Talian says, "And check with the guildmates, they have some valuble insight I imagine."
>Westryl nods.
>Akaal says, "they all tell me to snap cast in circles"
>Akaal says, "and that jus seems silly"
>Akaal says, "to cast for no good reason"
>Hyret just left.
>Akaal says, "i think we should get decent build in the normal course of castin all our magics"
>Student Gleedin just arrived.
>Westryl says, "That's training, unfortunately. Most skills are best learned that way. We're working to balance that, but we can't lock skills with a single act either."
>Akaal asks, "after all , a spell is a spell ... yes ?"
>Westryl says, "In the interest of time, we need to move on."
>Talian says, "a spell of x difficulty is a spell of x difficulty"
>Akaal says, "heh"
>Westryl says, "Nope, some are harder than others and teach better."
>Moon Mage Flametip just arrived.
>Westryl gestures at Akaal, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>
Pathian is next.

>Westryl gestures at Pathian, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Pathian says, "Yay! It was hard getting on that list....even harder waiting through the redudant questions. If I have to hear about power perception one more time....let's just say it wouldn't be pretty."
>Pathian says, "Anyway, I'm totally psyched about the new events. I'll be sooooo glad to tie up some lose ends. But here are my three quick questions. Heh"
>Pathian says, "Imbue. Declared a long time ago I'd never get it, but I'm starting to break down. Was wondering what kinda role it's going to play in future enchantments. I'm really hoping it'll be a necessity."
>Pathian says, "I was also hoping you'd like to list the first five divination tools you're going to release. I'm very curious since Tokka cards aren't going to make the first batch."
>Pathian says, "Finally Talian mentioned something about us having a strength in ESP/thought projection stuff on the boards. You already mentioned lowering thoughtcast's difficulty, was wondering if anything else was in the works."
>Westryl wobbles, looking a bit faint.
>Pathian says, "Hrm. That was rather fast."
>Pathian chortles softly at some secret joke.
>Chisoni says, "Someone gag that boy."
>Talian scrolls up.
>Pathian says, "And here I was trying to be helpful."
>Pathian snickers.
>Talian says, "On imbue."
>Talian says, "Some will some won't, going to try to keep things varied."
>Pathian says, "Okay. I'll stay leery then."
>Nayann just left.
>Talian says, "On divination."
>Nayann just arrived.
>Chisoni says, "Cards go last specifically because you want them so badly."
>Talian says, "Nope, saving the tidbits beyond charts (and bones) for the con."
>Pathian says, "Figured that."
>Talian says, "On the esp thing"
>Talian says, "Me and westryl were bouncing something back and forth just today."
>Westryl says, "I can't say what it is, but just yesterday I wrote a proposal for a nifty and not too hard to create (hopefully) esp ability. But since it's not anywhere near approved, I can't say what it is."
>Talian says, "ya, that, yesterday-today, it all merges"
>Pathian says, "Sweet. Just glad to know something is in the works."
>Westryl says, "Absolutely."
>Pathian says, "Great. Thanks guys."
>Westryl says, "Sure thing."
>Westryl gestures at Pathian, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>
Delvan is next.

>Westryl gestures at Delvan, giving him permission to speak freely.
>Westryl smiles at Delvan.
>Delvan says, "well you guys are takig alot of heat here"
>Delvan says, "me I been round since well maybe longer than dirt"
>Westryl says, "Been a rough ride for folks up till now. It's understandable."
>Delvan says, "seen lots of changes that hurt"
>Delvan says, "Had things realy set what I would ask but things change as they go"
>Delvan says, "so not to set Pathian off but I will say something on PP"
>Delvan says, "I would like to see a better bonus when you use it in connection with another skill"
>Chisoni asks, "Such as?"
>Delvan says, "such as whne casting a MG and check the status of your moonbeams"
>Delvan says, "should get a big hit for that maybe with a timer so it cannot be abused"
>Delvan says, "since I am no longer all that high up you probably not checking my skill gain but"
>Talian says, "I'm not quite sure what you're asking."
>Delvan says, "I can say that the mana is bad for some time now and PP is hard to lock when it is high it is easy"
>An obstreperous Shadow Servant trudges off, following its master.
Delvan says, "really a comment everyone should explore teaching PP while training it now a days"
>Ithlia just arrived.
An obstreperous Shadow Servant trudges in, following its master.
>Delvan says, "my question was adding a hit for using it like with MG I just dropped the rest in for the crowd"
>An obstreperous Shadow Servant trudges off, following its master.
>Talian asks, "So you can perceive a moongate?"
>Delvan says, "no ..."
>Delvan says, "when I was yound I used to cast rogue gates and die alot"
>Malzard just arrived.
>Delvan says, "I learned to check my moons no matter"
>Delvan says, "just before I cast"
>Delvan says, "so prep harness pow cast"
>Delvan says, "I don't die in a rogue gate no more"
>Delvan says, "but should get extra for using the skill for a real purpose"
> * Learnu was just struck down!
>Talian says, "ahh, learning while preping mg"
>Talian says, "Sorry, had a blonde moment I guess."
>Talian says, "Hmm, I'll ponder it some."
>Talian says, "Active use would be ideal over training."
>Westryl nods.
>Delvan says, "for the crowd I was saying you can get a big boost now by teaching PP while you practice it"
>Westryl says, "Not a bad idea at all."
>Westryl nods to Delvan.
>Westryl says, "That's good advice as well."
>Westryl asks, "All set?"
>Delvan says, "I am sure you could work other practical active uses in"
>Delvan nods.
>Westryl gestures at Delvan, asking him to no longer speak freely.
>Saethren just left.
> * Mobly was just struck down!
>Saethren just arrived.
>Westryl says, "Due to the time, we're going to have to forgo another round of questions. We've still got the boards, and soon mini meetings ane my Liaison list, to address anything we haven't covered."
>Westryl asks, "Anything to add, Talian, or Chisoni?"
>Chisoni says, "I think we've said what we can."
>Talian says, "Just to ask who stepped in the yak stuff.."
>
>Talian glares accusingly at everyone.
>Westryl says, "Oh, and we'll likely be having another meeting after the con and the Hot Summer Nights releases."
>Ithlia's group just arrived.
>An obstreperous Shadow Servant trudges in, following its master.
>Tenoctris just arrived.
>Student Ahrius just arrived.
>Westryl exclaims, "Aaaaand, refreshments are on the grey table just south of here. Paper umbrellas!"
>Pathian just tried to take Malzard's hand, but he politely pulled away.
> * Thanatoo was just struck down!
>G'nar Pethian Vivviane just arrived.
Ithlia stops teaching and looks around quietly.
>Westryl gestures, allowing everyone to freely speak and act.

[The room is no longer hushed -- speak freely.]
