These are the current spells available in the Psychic Projection Book.
| Name | Rating | Minimum Mana |
Mana Cap |
| Hypnotize | 3 | 75 | |
| This spell is one of our better spells, even
though it's not as powerful as it once was. Hypnotize grows with the
caster and goes from being just a spell that can save your life, to
a spell that you can use in conjunction with your other attack spells,
your weapons, or other players, to rapidly dispatch monsters. There
are 3 states to Hypnotize, the state you can reach is dependent on
your skills and mana used. They are: "less aggressive",
"passive", and "extremely relaxed." In the "less
aggressive" state the monster won't attack, and will simply set
in the room avoiding combat. This state has the longest duration.
In the "passive" state the monster will not attack, and
you may issue COMMANDS for it to obey. Known commands are BEG, DIE,
LIE, KNEEL, FREEZE, RETREAT, FALL, BOW, FLEE, STAND. Flee is useful
for getting creatures to leave the room. You will have to command
the creature to flee more than once if it is at melee or pole range.
Fall, Die, and Lie all make the creature lay down on the ground, reducing
its evasion and decreasing its balance, making it an easy target for
weapons or spells. The rest of the commands are mainly for role play
purposes. In the "extremely relaxed" state the monster can't
move at all for about 20 seconds. It doesn't lose its balance, but
it is still made an easy target due to the huge evasion penalty. |

| Mental Blast | 10 | 65 | |
| When cast at a creature or player you send energy
into them, probably stunning them, and possibly knocking them unconscious.
This spell gives nerve damage to varying degrees, depending on how
bad the target was effected when you 'blasted' it. If you manage to
stun something good enough, or knock them out, they will drop anything
they are holding in their hands. Any thing that is sleeping because
of this, can be hidden in front of without fail, but you will not
learn from doing so. The two main uses of this spell are: 1) Helping
you quickly kill something. 2) Disarming something so you can fight
it more safely. This second use if more for those mages who like to
keep their combat skills trained. Note: If you can not knock something
out with one cast of Mental Blast, try casting 2 quick casts on the
target. A stunned target is very easily knocked out. |

| Psychic Shield | 1 | 66 | |
| Seemingly only useful against the Moon Mage book
of Psychic Projection spell, this spell actually protects from all
"vs. Will" type spell effects. The spell is fairly difficult
to max out. This spell teaches pretty well I should note, and many
people choose it just for that. If you have a Psychic Shield up, you
can Thoughtcast to, but the cascade feature of a Seer's Sense link
will not work on you. It takes a pretty high amount of skill to be
able to max out a Psychic Shield... At least over 200 Primary Magic
and Harness. |

| Shadowling | 23 | 73 | |
| Shadowlings help you recover your attunement
faster than normal, thus the appeal of this spell. They can't be cast
outdoors if it is daytime, and they won't follow you. Useful for times
when you are sitting somewhere doing a lot of spell casting. I am
fairly certain that more mana into the spell makes the Shadowling
help your attunement slightly faster. |

| Shadow Servant | 44 | 54 | |
| This spell can help you by keeping you from becoming
encumbered by letting you 'store' items in the servant for a long
time, 90 days I think. It can also be the cause of you losing some
items. My advice? Don't EVER stick something that you can't easily
replace inside the servant. Best use is for it to carry bundles of
skins or treasure boxes, you may wish to store other stuff, but just
remember, there is a risk you can lose your items. You can do a PERCEIVE
and sense roughly how far away your servant is. Supposedly, you can
recast the spell and have the servant appear right in front of you
with all the items you had given it, however I think there are some
bugs with this and you could lose items if you decide to do this.
To use the servant, all you have to do is GIVE stuff to the servant
and it will swallow it. Since it is sort of eating your stuff, if
you give the servant anything that is considered a food type item,
it will be gone! The servant actually eats it. When you want something
back from the servant, GET <OBJECT> FROM SERVANT. You need Piercing
Gaze to see inside the Shadow Servant. Oh yeah, you need that 44 mana
to cast, so don't get the spell early on, or you won't be able to
cast it. |

| Thoughtcast | 14 | ? | |
| Can be very useful, especially since you can
cast this spell even without a Seer's Sense link if you put a lot
of mana into it. This spell works great in conjunction with Shadewatch
Mirror, allowing you to communicate with the person you are watching.
If you and your friends all use something like AIM or ICQ, this spell
may not be for you. If you cast Thoughtcast at yourself, you will
be stunned, due to intense feedback inside your head. |
