Emma
has been studying bellydance since 2003 and performing since 2004. She
is an original member of Midriff Crisis, Tucson's first Tribal Fusion
Bellydance Troupe.
Emma
enjoys bellydancing as a form of creative expression because she feels
it is still open to many artistic interpretations.
In
2008, she began teaching bellydance at a highschool in Tucson. She continues
to teach bellydance because she seeks to share what she has gotten out
of the dance. In her experience, she has seen those who practice the dance
grow to love and celebrate themselves, their bodies, and fellow dancers
with confidence and pride.
Aside
from bellydance, Emma enjoys travel, yoga, vegan-living, reading, movies,
sewing, sculpting, dinosaurs, NPR, and her family.
