I collected information about how players approached the game during the competition and
made a post to r.g.i.f. about the results when the competition ended. If you'd like to
see the results and read my comments take a look at my
IFSurvey.
Source code for The Erudition Chamber is of course freely available. This time my coding
skills show marked improvement over Grayscale and I think this code is really worth taking
a look at. It's cleaner, more elegant, and even has a hint of simulationism. Comments on
the code would be much appreciated.
First read the license under which this source is available. Chamber.txt This is the file to compile, also includes first puzzle. eruditestd.txt Standard definitions, score, ending, etc. disambig.txt Not my code, helps disambiguate objects. maesters.txt This file contains the Maester characters and teachings and such. destruction.txt This file controls how materials interact in breaking/burning situations. global.txt Global verbs and objects like walls. second.txt This is the second and third puzzle, despite the name. third.txt This is actually the fourth puzzle, again - despite the name. final.txt And the endgame.
