Custom Mini Chopper Project
Updated 8/28/2003
Not too many photos, but this is what I've been working on the last several weeks with my 17 year old son Chris. Been a fun project so far. I fabricated the frame, rear bearing plates & bearing carriers, front axle & spacers, in the home machine shop. Bought the complete front end, rear fender & seat from Custom Mini Bikes. Will be powered by a Honda 70cc, 3 speed automatic, electric start engine from a 1981 Honda Passport Scooter.

Still have a ways to go with it....Inspiration and many of the parts came from
Custom Mini Bikes (Very helpful people, very good to work with! Thanks Jeff)

Here you see me on the bike to give you a perspective on size. In this and the next 3 shots, the down tubes and lower half of the frame are completed and tacked.

I stand about 6'1" 240lbs...

Chris is a little shorter. Seems to fit him better.
