ETHS is gearing up for Spring Roller Hockey season. Due to the Winter Recess we are very behind schedule and need your cooperation in getting this all together. Roller Hockey is a Spring Sport recognized by the Saddleback Valley Unified School District. The school district provides rink fees for our players. All practices are on Mondays and games are on Wednesday. All players will be transported to the 949 Roller Hockey Rink via a SVUSD Bus for both practices and game days. To play Roller Hockey in the spring it will be mandatory for all players to be enrolled in 1st period Athletics with Coach Stoll. We are very fortunate that Coach Stoll trains our hockey boys to get them in the best shape possible. I believe we are the only school that has an on site coach that takes an interest in the Roller Hockey Team. Should 1st period athletics interfere with your curriculum, it will be yours or your parent’s responsibility to contact your guidance counselor and make other arrangements. I must turn in a Roster to the Athletics Secretary by January 16th so they can start arranging schedules to include 1st period Athletics prior to the end of 1st semester. Please email me and let me know if you will or will not be participating in the spring. Please help me by responding A.S.A.P Generally we have tryouts, but seeing most players are currently playing on El Toro High School IHF Team we may forego tryouts and save the rink time that the school district sets aside for additional Sunday practices. If there are any new players they will be invited to join our Sunday practices. If you are aware of any individuals that are interested in playing hockey please have them contact me. The El Toro Roller Hockey Web site will also have this information. We will be making an announcement at school next week. Tuesday January 29th from 2:15 – 3:00 registration will be held in the ASB office at El Toro High School. I will bring registration packets to this Sundays practice. If you miss me or forget to get your packet from me, please call me and we can arrange to get your packet to you. These forms must be filled out and brought to registration on Tuesday January 29th.
