Got up early and went to The Oregon Caves National Monument.  Really neat caves, defiantly worth the trip.  It was an active cave so it was very wet.  It was also very cold 42 degrees.  There is a stream that runs through the cave.  There are a lot of different formations.  Also the cave is made of marble.  It was different from any other cave I have seen so far, both on this trip and before.  After leaving the caves, we started the drive to California.  We decided to go back toward the coast, what a mistake.  California is not very RV friendly.  Most of the campgrounds are for tents and the ones that could accommodate them were full.  We finally found a spot to camp in a County run campground.  In reality it was an asphalt parking lot with an outhouse and a water faucet.  Most of the people that were camping there were just using the parking lot for the cars and they were camping in tents on the sand dunes.

Drove all day!  We apparently picked the wrong route to get from the coast back to I-5.  It was a very twisty, turney, steep, up and down kind of route.  It took all day to go about 150 miles.  We were all car sick by the time it was over.  To be fair, we did stop in a small town on the way to do laundry, but that only took one hour. While it was pretty cool on the coast, it got very hot very quick once we left that area.  The high temperature reached 111 degrees.  We could not find a place to camp and it was way to hot to go primitive.  We ended up staying on the road, driving till 1:30 am.  By that time it had cooled down enough to pull over at a Wal-mart and get some sleep.

Took another day to get to Yosemite National Park.  When we got to the main road to head up to the park, we found that the road was closed and we would have to go around.  That added another three hour drive to our days trip.  We were lucky enough to have a Ranger at the information station help us find a spot in a private campground just outside of the park.  Tonight we have air-conditioning!

Spent the day in Yosemite National Park  saw a lot of waterfalls.  Not many animals although it seems that everyone else has seen bear.  We have seen a few deer.

Spent the day in the Northern part of the park. (Kings Canyon National Park).  Very pretty.  There are waterfalls and canyons.  Still not much in the way of animals, just a few deer.  It is funny that everyone else seems to be seeing bear but us.

Spent the day in the Southern Part of the park. (Sequoia National Park)  The sequoia trees are really unbelievable!  They are just so big.  Even standing there looking at them, they just seem to big to be real.  It is really a site to see.
