We even made up our own new special secret code to use when we write to our friends!

We learned about how our Brain Powers Different Muscles by trying to write our names while we twirled our foot in a circle (boy that was hard!). We also tried Eye to Brain To Hand...trying to catch a strip of paper  in our hand while our friend dropped it. We talked about Dreams and how our brains work even while we are sleeping (We learned some of our friend have some crazy dreams...). We used Mirrors while we made faces to see the different muscles we used to smile, frown, chew, blow a bubble... We tested our Muscle reaction using so neat tricks and we found our pulse and counted our heart rate!

We planned a days worth of health meals and brought in the food to donate to a food bank and we also planned our meals for our overnight. We decorated our food donation box with “Food People” we made from magazines...But our favorite thing was talking about dairy food and trying our new favorite snack... Non-Fat Yogurt and plain/unsweetened fruit & Kashi cereal!  Some of us even tried fruit we had never had before and we loved the cereal!

Eat Right Stay Healthy

We had a DANCE PARTY when we went camping at Rocky farm. Some of us even had costumes! When we got back to our meeting, We practiced moving to the beat, marching in place lifting our arms in time to the music. In groups, we made up out own dance move to a song and showed the rest of the troop. We also played follow the leader and copied what ever movement the leader was doing..all while we listened to our favorite songs.

We ARE PREPARED! We now have our very own Travel journals to keep track of our trips. We will write descriptions of  places we went, people we were with, and things we did. We can also Draw sketches of what we saw and Collect souvenirs such as postcards, menus, and brochures. We went over "Safety Smart" rules to follow whenever we take a trip and listed them in our Journals. And we each had a flag from a different country, and guessed which countries they belonged to and learned what language they speak, what their money is called and what the name of their capital city is. We even read a story about a girl from another country our age!

We watched a video about what happens to children our size in the back seat if we are not wearing a seat belt the correct way or are not in a booster seat if we are suppose to be... We weighed and measured each of us and found MANY of us should still be in a booster seat! We each signed a pledge certificate stating we would ALWAYS buckle up properly when we are in a car. We had a West Greenwich Police officer come in and talk to us about being safe when riding the bus too!
