Students’ Life At the Academy, students consider learning to be an exploration and an exciting experience. Similar to the adult’s work environment, students study goal oriented (in contrast to time oriented). In accomplishing daily academic tasks, each child experiences achievement and confidence as a learner. Since students can complete all academic work at school with the assistance of the teacher, each child pursues a variety of interests after school including activities like Karate, Ice-skating, Gymnastics, etc. Homework is a parental choice and is adjusted to each student’s need. Without feeling overwhelmed by nightly homework, students of Exploration International enjoy a quality time and rich social life with family and friends in the afternoon/evenings and often continue their exploration of knowledge outside of school. |

The Academy is open year round. The school year is structured into 2 Semesters and a Summer Program. Students may enter the school at any time throughout the year. While focusing on academics from September through June, students can continue their studies during the summer with fun filled activities like swimming, crafts, play, beach visits, etc. Knowledge gained during the school year is periodically reviewed so students won’t forget already learned skills during the summer. Besides the Summer Program, the Academy offers parents choices in areas such as Academic Courses, Subject Content, Homework, Testing, Field Trips, and Vacation Periods. In working closely with parents, the Academy nurtures the intellectual, social, emotional, and moral growth of each student and is dedicated to making a Positive Difference in the Life of your Child. |
