Command Line Switches are applied to the Target Line in the Properties of the Shortcut used to Launch Falcon. As an example, your Target Line may read: C:\MicroProse\Falcon4\Falcon4_108i2.exe -hostidx 0 -pf 100


 

-alive            Timeout setting for network play (1 minute is default). 
-armageddon       All objectives destroyed when campaign is loaded. 
-bandwidth	  Enter the value that is 80% of your true upload speed. Used for hosting MP sp3		
-file             Turns acmi recording on at start of mission. 
-full             Forces Falcon 4 to run in full screen mode. 
-gX               Allows for higher Graphics slider settings of Texture Detail, Object Detail
                  and Bubble. Values for x can be 1 through 8.
-head             Enables the head-tracking system. in 3D cockpit, you can look forward only . 
-hires            Allows higher resolutions in the graphics setup screen. 
-hostidx X        Select between different network cards. Valid values for x are 0 and 1. 
-ip x.x.x.x       Forces Falcon 4 to use the IP address where the value of x.x.x.x is the ip 
                  address rather than the default one. Useful for NAT routing. 
-log              Log framerates during a mission to the files "framerate.csv" and "fr_summary.csv". 
-noloader         Puts you into the cockpit before the terrain graphics are loaded. 
                  This will move you through the pie screen quickly, but graphics will load around 
                  you while waiting in the cockpit. 
-nomovie          Starts Falcon 4 without the introductory movie. 
-nopete           Silences all pilot voices, including your own. 
-norudder         Disables the rudder control on joysticks. 
-nosmoothing      Disables joystick smoothing (filtering out of spikes). 
-nosound          Turns off all sounds. 
-nouicomms        Disables the radio chatter and take-off sounds in the user interface. 
-numhats X        Tells Falcon 4 the number of hatswitches on your joystick. Replace X with 
                  the appropriate number. Use only if Falcon 4 doesn´t recognize the number of 
                  hatswitches. 
-pf X             Forces Falcon 4 to restrict data-packet flow during online gaming to a millisecond 
                  value. ie. -pf 100 would equal 1 positional packet transfer per 100 milliseconds or 10 
                  per second. The standard is 100 but if you have high bandwidth you may want to try 50. 
                  Used ONLY with 108i2.exe! 
-repair           All objectives repaired when campaign is loaded. 
-screen           Allows you to take screenshots of the user interface by hitting the "Print Screen" 
                  button. These will be saved as *.tga files. 
-tacedit          Allows you to edit and save training missions using the TE builder. 
                  Rename the *.trn files to *.tac files, edit them and rename *.trn again. 
-time             Runs Falcon 4 in server mode. You will not be allowed to play. 
-urview X         Only for Union Reality headgear set. X  describes the angle of view. 
                  Numbers from 50 to 160. Default is 160. 
-version          Print out the version of Falcon 4 and exit. 
-window           Forces Falcon 4 to run in a 640x480 window. For use with the -time switch in 
                  server mode.
