Jimmy Ray's MAME Arcade Project - Software

I'm running Windows 2000 with MAME v 78 and using EmuWizard as a front end.

EmuWizard is perfect for my needs. It is simple to use, easy to configure and can easily be customized. Because of the nostalgic nature of the arcade and all the time I had lost playing these games as a kid, I named my arcade "Time Warp". I'm using a cool graphic of a sun being sucked into a black hole on my marquee. I used the same graphic as the background in EmuWizard.  EmuWizard also allows you to play sound files.  Time Warp is setup to play the beginning of "Time Warp" form the Rocky Horror Picture Show.   The only problem is that with 4000+ games it becomes kinda cumbersome to navigate.  You move the joystick up and down to move from one game to the next, move it left and right you move through the list a page at a time.  To the right of the list shows an image of the game and the marquee above it.

This is the list view, it will also show a thumbnail of all the screen shots or marquees instead of the just the list of names.  It would normally have the marquee also shown above the screen shot, but when I did a screen print I didn't have any marquees loaded.

I would like to experiment with Dos and ArcadeOS. There seems to be so many MAMEr's using it, I'd like to try if for my self.  What I'm using now seems to work pretty good so why mess with it.  Maybe I'll go the Dos route or even Linux with the mini pac-man project.
