September/1/03: added little blurbs to pages for "I Want Rock N Roll" (thanks bRIAN) and "St. Francis Dam Disaster" (thanks Bill). --Not that I'm really soliciting blurbs.. as I mentioned below, this webpage has been "abandoned" and I don't have much interest in bringing it up to speed. But that said, if someone emails me a relevant piece of info, I'll probably throw it in someday when I have the time.
June/1/03: Over a year without an update?! Yeah, you see, the thing is, last year while in the middle of putting together this site, I started working on a FB Gigography, so I kinda got sidetracked and never got around to finishing this Song Index. There was a guy or two at frankblack.net who planned on making something like this, but bigger and better. But here it is a year later, and nothing has come from it. So I guess I might as well keep this site up until another comes along and irrelevantizes it. However, it will most likely be left in its abandoned, unfinished state, so I probably won't be adding any of the songs it's missing. However, Brett Wolmarans pointed me to a blurb on the elusive Henry Sloan, so I added it to the "I Want Rock N Roll" page.
May/5/02: Got through DITS, so basically all the regular album songs are up, with some additions and modifications still to be made to them soon. also up next are all the non-regular-album tracks (b-side/compilation/ssmvgd/oddball tracks) (there's over 50 of them!), and after I finish all that, 2 new FB&tC albums are coming out (in August, though they're already leaking to the net).. so I'll be keeping busing with this site over the next several weeks.
May/2/02: Uploaded site for the 1st time. It's still very under construction. Only up thru Pistolero so far. And even those aren't all done yet. Consider yourself a "beta tester" of the site!

This is a site that takes a look at the songs of Frank Black.

This is somewhat a continuation of what the now defunct Levitated.net (Black Vault) site had been doing (defining big words, etc). Thanks also to the fans on the AbstractPlain mailing list for inspiration and information.

* by the way, when I say "acoustic" I basically mean stripped-down "non-band" performances: usually Frank solo with an acoustic guitar, but sometimes Frank solo with an electric guitar, or sometimes Frank with guitar joined by one other musician.
