CERT Training for 2009 –

 

January – General membership meeting. Deb Brown was guest speaker. Stone House invited and attended by one volunteer.

 

February – No General Membership Meeting

            *Team leaders will meet with chairs to discuss the following agenda –

            *Agenda – Walk a Mile in March with backpack –

            *Team leaders will contact their team members and determine meeting date and time in March to “do the walk,” (Try to have all team members available)

            *Team leaders will provide the neighborhood maps; each team needs their neighborhood map and one for the file; 

            *Explain packet to team leaders;

            *Ask team leaders for their input re training from August to December.

            *Ask team leaders for assistance with forum. Should FC volunteers help with exercise or should other CERT teams help?

            *Assignment – make a map of your area if one is not already developed.

 

March – Teams meet in designated meeting place.

            *Check med pack and let team members have an opportunity to see the items. 

            *Check back packs

            *Walk a mile with back packs

            *The chairs will observe try to participate in all of the mile walks. Please let chairs know the date and time of your walk.

 

April – General membership meeting to debrief the March team exercise (What was learned? Where are the weaknesses?)

            *Review the forum

 

May – General membership meeting.

            *Show Disaster DVD. *Discuss June exercise. * Date of exercise is June 7

            (Rain date is June 14th)

 

June – General membership meeting.  Preparedness DVD (Exercise cancelled)

 

July – General membership meeting.   Incident Command System Information


August – Exercise - TBD

 

September – General membership meeting to review and evaluate March and August exercises. 

 

October - (meet in teams) other agenda items TBD (will ask team leaders for their input with planning. *Nominations for 2010 – 2011 Chairs

 

November - (elections) other agenda items TBD (will ask team leaders for their input with planning

 

December - (welcome new officers/social)
