Artist's Statement

"The movement of color turns, lifts, and travels across the surface. The shapes flow or lay still against the contrast of light and dark patterns. The overlays of textures form a figuration of balance. The emphasis of contrast arouses excitement. There is a unity, a communion present.  My paintings have life. They lift. They energize. They surprise the human heart."
