“A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to Our World.  But then it flies on again, and though we wish it could have stayed, we feel so lucky to have seen it.”

A PRAYER FOR JASON

Please God, don’t let me forget his silly slow saunter, or his quiet giggle . . .
The way he could enter a room without a thing to say – it was funny how with that calming glance you knew it was all okay.
Please God, don’t let me forget his voice, or his humor, his pool playing antics . . .
Keep him alive in my heart so that the days when I’m sad, or scared, or just plain angry I can think back to those times . . .
The rotten 80’s music, the all-nighter talks, his silent way of letting you know he’s a friend . . .  Never a foe . . .
And thank you God for the times that we had – some good, some bad . . .
Thank you for our friendships and bonds . . .
Thank you for the secrets he kept for me, for them, for all of us - - his family and friends.
Most of all, thank you God for Jason alone.  He was special, beautiful, and wonderful (but more often a handful . . .)
Help to keep him close to us as long as we’re here, and help us to NEVER FORGET the moments that made each of our friendships with Jason so unique.
Keep us close and mindful of each other by taking what we learned from J to our hearts.
