Volunteers
from Peggy Scott, Professional Gardener & Don Snipes, Board Member
We need volunteers to help maintain gardens which
ensure a good harvest as we work to meet our contribution goals to
community food banks.
This year our heirloom vegetable garden is being rennovated and we have
a special need for extra volunteers. In addition, we display other
gardens, like our new shade garden, which could use your help.
Through a normal growing season, our gardens provide vegetables year-round and
your involvement would contribute greatly to the community!
We work Thursday mornings, but you can help at any time. Just bring a
plastic trash bag for clean-up. To volunteer or seek more information
on this worthy project contact Peggy Scott of Board Member Don Snipes and our many master gardeners through
the center: 757-441-2513 or
Volunteer services are always welcomed at the Fred Heutte Center. If you wish to help- but are not necessarily interested in volunteering to maintain the gardens - then please contact us!
