Board 1 - Scene C-9: Depicts the helicopter roof landing, at the film's
beginning, that was eventually removed from the final print of the movie. This superb board shows
a golden tower with the camera crane's angle down on it and the surrounding San
Francisco structures. Color illustrations show the before and after process
shots of the golden tower model added into the live action aerial shot of
downtown San Francisco. Three color inserts give the helicopter pilots
perspective on the landing. Finally, the camera operators illustration shows how
the glass matte opticals will be shot. See artwork

and explosion that lodges it from the tower. The main image of the tower
structure is illustrated as being shot by two crane and one platform camera.

Special effects aficionados will enjoy reading L. B. Abbott's suggestions
actually listed on this board!
See artwork $725
Board 3 - Scene 468: Depicts Lisolette's (Jennifer Jones) fall out of the elevator off the
tower. The least detailed of the five boards, this still shows the large main

Lisolette's fall from different angles in the scene. See artwork $525

Peerless building. Drawn in one sequential image is the helicopters flight from
the Peerless building to the exterior tower elevator. Five color inserts
illustrate the sequence from different camera angles. This scene provided Steve McQueen's
first big heroic moment in the film. See artwork $700
Board 5 - Scenes 490, 546, 584, 586: Depicts various explosions on the
exterior of the tower. The main tower image is engulfed in colorful explosions
