Current Projects:
Bonnie's Friends- A project where individuals are linked up with a buddy/buddies
to assist them with home chores, making medical appointments, or even as simple
as giving a phone call to see how the client is doing. It is very important that
people with hiv/aids have a social life no matter how small, the support of
friends is something dear to each of us and means even more to someone with
HIV/AIDS. Food Pantry- We are in need of people to contribute non perishable
food items, and or their time to help in the stocking and running of the food
pantry.
Education- There are opportunities in the CAPE (community aids prevention and
education) department. These opportunities include but are not limited to
outreach, special events, reception. Heck if you can pack 6 condoms into a small
envelope, we have something for you to do. All this being said, you can see that
there is plenty that could be done. This is a way to directly effect YOUR
community with only a small amount of your time. As a person living with
HIV/AIDS I know the importance of all these programs and hope that some if not
all of you feel challenged to take up arms against this terrible disease. If you
