WSSL is a new tropo record for me, beating Myrtle Beach by 39 miles. WSSL, WSOC and WTQR were all in at local-like signals but quickly dropped out around 1230. 9/7 and 9/8 were probably the best tropo I can remember. 9/9 was probably good but I had to travel. Using the car’s receiver, noticed by just moving it a few
feet can greatly alter the signals that are received and this helped in logging many of the above new ones. My wife thinks I’m crazy, but she should know that by now about DXers. The Leonids Ms was a bust, with only 4 or 5 bursts noted. Didn’t even see any visually.
