Delco Racing Series League Rules

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Section 1 - Starts and Restarts

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.1 - No jumping the starts at all. That means no accelerating until the green drops. (no hanging back to get a jump on the field) Leader is responsible to drive at a consistent pace speed, no slower then the pit road limit.

1.2 - Do not pass or be in the act of passing before the start/finish line.(certain circumstances are acceptable as long as it is to the right side)

1.3 - Burnouts and Tire scrubbing will not be allowed.

1.4 - If there is a wreck within the first 5 laps of the race that takes out more than half of the field, the race may be restarted.

1.5 - Restarts will be double file.

1.6 - If you are a lap down, you must give way to lead lap cars. If you block the leaders or cause a wreck trying to get your lap back you will get a penalty per incident. Lapped cars are allowed to try and get their lap back but we strongly urge you to use your head when doing so and show the leaders respect if pressured.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Section 2 - Pits

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.1 - Warn your opponents when you are pitting or exiting the pits. (1 for "Pitting this lap" and 2 for "Exiting Pits")

2.2 - During a race, if you are in the act of pitting and the yellow comes out, you must commit to pitting. Basically if you are on the apron or access road, you must go through the pits. You can pit or drive through but you are not allowed to drive back on the track. (Penalties will be issued)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Section 3 - Wrecks and Cautions

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.1 - No intentional wrecking. (ejection and loss of points for the night) If this is done more then twice, you will be banned from the league for the rest of the season.

3.2 - You may race back to the yellow flag if under 10 laps to go . If you cause a wreck in the process, penalties will be issued depending on the situation.

3.3 - While under yellow, keep a .1 to .3 second margin between the car ahead of you. (To check this hit f2 + spacebar). Also pay attention while under yellow, crashing under the yellow is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

3.4 - If you cause a wreck penalties will be issued. (Depends on the situation)

3.5 - If you self spin to bring out caution or crash to help another driver in any way, you will be penalized.

3.6 - Bump drafting is not allowed, if you get caught you will be penalized.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Section 4 - Race Conduct

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

4.1 - Drivers are to keep chat to a minimum during race sessions. However, important messages such as entering/exiting pits are highly recommended.

4.2 - Swearing or complaining about other drivers during race will not be tolerated and will result in a penalty or ejection without any warning.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Section 5 - Attendance and Provisional Points

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

5.1 - Two provisional's will be awarded to all Delco Racing Series drivers. But you must run at least one race before you have access to them.

5.2 - Any driver using a provisional will be awarded 80 points for the race missed. Once a driver's two provisional's have been used up, no points will be awarded for following missed races.

5.3 - Because every driver has 2 provisional's, driver substitutions will not be allowed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Section 6 - Super Speedway Rules

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

6.1 - Refer to rule 3.6, bump drafting is not allowed and you will be penalized if caught in the act of doing so.

6.2 - No passing under the yellow line, it is there for a reason. The apron or under the yellow line will not be used as another racing line.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Section 7 - Other

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

7.1 - If you are continually warping or jumping around on the track due to internet connections, you will need to park it in fairness to your competitors.

7.2 - Every driver must have their car file uploaded to our site in order to be allowed to race. (No skin, no race.)

7.3 - You must send your skin to the league admin before you can race. It will then be added to a skin pack for all driver's to download. Failure to use the skin that you provided the league admin will result in not racing that race.

7.4 - Reminder of rule 3.2, no racing back to the yellow unless the race is under 10 laps to go. When the caution comes out, lift off the gas and slow down gradually so anyone racing around you has a chance to also slow down. (If you are trailing the accident, use your best judgment to avoid it but once cleared, slow down.)

7.5 - Brake checking or intentional Blocking will not be tolerated.

7.6 - Every black flag must be cleared no matter what the circumstance. (So don't bug the admin during the race about it because nothing will be done.)

7.7 - Every driver must use the same Sierra ID as in which they signed up with, otherwise they will be scored as two different id's...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Section 8 - Penalties

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Penalties will vary with each incident depending on the severity of the situation. Penalties will range from a warning to a loss of points for the night(banned from league for the severest). It will be up to the admin's to decide the penalty for each incident and each incident can be protested unless otherwise noted. If you wish to protest a penalty, you must first send a copy of your replay with the incident in question, and a reason why it should be overturned to the league admin. The individual who is protesting must send in their version of the replay or it will not be reviewed. There will be a penalty forum located in the Delco Racing Series forums, all penalties for each will be listed there. At no time will anyone dispute a penalty on the forums, all inquiries need to be resolved privately through e-mail.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

We want everyone to understand that if any driver consistently and/or continuously causes problems on or off the track, we reserve the right to deduct points for that driver, enforce a suspension, or ban them from the league. We can all prevent this from happening by practicing the guidelines listed on this page.

Please remember, this is a game. We're all here to have fun, so let's keep that our top priority.
