More dog-talk...

It occurred to me that I hadn't explained Roddy's heritage...
he's a Rottweiler/APBT (American Pit Bull Terrier) cross.
The breeder was trying to develop a new breed with the
best characteristics of both. I think Roddy was a smashing success!
My other dogs were Rottweilers....and one Doberman.


I seem to be drawn to the Molosser breeds in general.

At one time I had considered adopting a Fila Brasileiro...
I was intrigued by their temperament characteristic
called "ojeriza", which translates roughly as "aversion to
or mistrust of strangers." They are extraordinarily loyal and
protective of their territory and "family."
