"THE LOST LAMB"
( PRAYERS )
* * * * *
I bow my head in shame dear Lord
for long neglecting thee;
I had been living by the sword,
but still , You stayed by me.
I knew that You were always there,
and yet, I turned an eye;
and many times I felt despair
though You were there close by.
I searched for strength another way
down life's deep darker lane,
and this poor lamb who went astray,
has come to know the pain.
Please bring me back into the fold,
beneath Your guiding hand,
oh Lord, my life has been so cold,
I need Your warmth again!
So now I bow my head and pray
and humbly beg of Thee,
to ask forgiveness for the way
I failed You selfishly.
Now in my heart I hope and feel
Your holy presence dear,
and in my life, a void has filled;
since now that You are here!

"THE BEST SIDE"
Whatever we plot from bottom to top,
and whether it helps us or no,
we're on a path of eternal wrath
of strife in a world of woe.
Some wallow each day in hollow dismay,
and never they stop to pray,
but praying they don't, it's trouble they want,
and problems will stay that way!
So to each his own, whether young or grown,
each one has a life to hone;
and try they must to pry out the lust
of evil that many are prone.
Now here's a side that all should abide,
and that is to goodness subscribe,
to gain all the strength of a heavenly Saint
and in God's work confide.
So, let's all pitch in and cast away sin,
and with a new life begin;
for at judgement date at the pearly gate,
our friend, Jesus, will lead us within!

"IT ONLY TAKES ONE BLESSING"
When evening shadows come to fall
at close of weary days,
just count your many blessings all,
not sorrows or dismays.
For often-times we dwell on woes,
and often we forget;
that even tho' ill winds may blow,
means not our end is met.
For God has given us our gifts,
our lives, for which we owe
our soul to Him for which He lifts
when hard times come to tow.
And every blessing that we count,
even if it's one,
just a simple,honest, small amount,
God sees it as a ton!

Time After Time
My, oh my, how time does fly,
like winds from a hurricane,
swiftly blown to the vast goodbye..
as smoke does from a flame!
And the days and weeks like a bullet streaks
to the past with lighting speed...
to find some mark where dreams embark,
to fill a dreamers need.
And the months and years like javelin spears
just soar past overhead...
to reach some goal where the weak and bold..
meet up with the lives they led.
But in meanwhile, just hope and smile,
and count your blessings all;
for near the end you can depend
on God, to whom we call!!
