Well
this 2003 page will look very similar to the 2002 page except you
can replace the marine life of Sea World with the terrestrial animals
of the Brookfield Zoo.
I finished up
my first year of medical school in May, and to celebrate my last
summer off I thought I would pick a fun job. So I worked at the
Brookfield Zoo which is right down the street from Loyola. I gave
tours and drove the tram for the Motor Safari.

And even though
I've always
been partial to the San Diego Zoos, I must say that Brookfield Zoo
is pretty neat. The best part was that I could always get in free
with as many people as I wanted for the day.
Mom, Amy and I
took advantage of this when they visited in October.

It was also a
very flexible schedule so I was able to come home for a bit with
Chris over the summer. It was nice to be able to show him our
favorite San Diego beaches!

I was even able
to take a week off to go to Hawaii with the family as
well.
Both
of my roommates from last year got married this summer, so in
August I moved in to a new place in Oak Park, which is a cute
little suburb right outside of the Chicago city limits. I have two
new roommates who work in research labs at Loyola and we love the
new place. It's all hardwood floors with a sunroom, fireplace, and
our favorite, the spiral staircase.

Now I'm in my
second year at Loyola and studying even more than last year. I'll
have one more semester to go before I take Step One of the boards
and start my third year rotations. Thanks for visiting my page.
Have a
wonderful Christmas and a great New Year.
