Well, the Foote family covers more geographical area this year now that Josh is teaching school and living in Camarillo.  His girlfriend, Jessica lives nearby and is in her junior year at Pepperdine.

Kara is still in the Chicago area as she continues her second year of med school at Loyola.  While they were visiting the Music Conservatory at Wheaton this October, Linda and Amy had fun seeing Kara's new apartment and the zoo where she worked last summer.

Amy is doing lots of singing during her senior year of high school and is busy filling out college apps and deciding what school to attend next year.  She's excited that the Die Lieders (the choral group she's in at Poway High) will be privileged to sing the National Anthem at the Holiday Bowl on December 30th.

Linda continues her technology and curriculum wizardry at the school district office while Evan still preaches every Sunday at Pomerado Christian Church.  Only now he is speaking with braces on his teeth.  (Dr. Steve Henry from the church is getting him straightened out!)  Evan also had a wonderful time working for a couple weeks with pastors in Manila and our missionary friend, Marydel in Cebu in August.

We had a fun time when Kara brought her boyfriend, Chris home for a week in June and the whole family went to Disney's El Capitan theatre in Hollywood to see Finding Nemo on Father's Day.

Another highlight took place in July when we all spent a week together in a vacation home in Kona, Hawaii.  We snorkeled, kayaked, and visited just about every coffee plantation on the Big Island.  It was a great vacation and a most wonderful gift from the church to honor Evan's 25th anniversary there!

In October we had to evacuate as the fires burned down several homes in our Garden Road neighborhood.  Our house was spared, for which we are humbly grateful. Experiences like that certainly reaffirm the real priorities in life.

One of the challenges of the year is that a small tumor doctors have been monitoring in Linda's lung has grown and she will be going through surgery once again to remove another section of her right lung.  The surgery is scheduled for December 30 at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla, and as always we greatly appreciate your prayers.

Thank you friends and family for all you mean to us.  May God bless you this holiday season and guide you throughout the new year.

With Love from,
Evan, Linda, Josh, Kara, and Amy Foote
