About Us

Foxcroft is a small farm, located in the town of Jamul, CA. Although only 25 miles from downtown San Diego, Jamul remains a rural area. Our house overlooks a hay farm, and our property is frequented by coyotes, bobcats, great horned owls and roadrunners, to name only a few of the local inhabitants.

Because I care about my animals as individuals, my herd is small. All my goats receive daily attention, which many days includes freedom to roam and browse our 2 acres.

Enjoying some of that California winter sunshine!

We began our herd in 2001.  I've been an animal keeper all of my life. I chose this breed because of their dual reputation as family milkers and as great pets. The goats and I are learning together! I make my own goat milk soap and goat cheese.

In starting my herd, I've consulted with some of the best breeders I could find. Especially helpful have been Gail Cole of Ponders End Farm, Jo Rodgers of Starbucks, and Julie Cummings of Sunrise Farm. They have introduced me to the world of goat shows, hoof trimming, and stinky bucks!

My aims are to produce animals that are foremost gentle and attractive companions and also good family milkers. I am very interested in showing, although there are very few shows in my area.
