ABOUT US

Our names are Susan & Bill Iserhardt from Gainesville Florida . And we have been breeding, training and showing dogs for the last 20 years throughout the southeastern United States, but mostly in the Florida / Georgia area.  I trained retrievers for hunting, tracking and as general purpose gun dogs.  The wife trained conformation and obedience.

For all those years we bred and trained Retrievers, both Curly Coated and Labrador's, with many champions to our credit.  But after our last Curly passed we decided to change to a different breed and were introduced to the Patterdale or Fell Terriers. We instantly fell in love with this tenacious breed, both from the standpoint of its sheer willingness and drive for working, and its never give up attitude towards attaining a goal it has set in its mind.

Our first Patterdale was Panda, purchased for our son Chris as a replacement for his beloved Cody, our liver Curly Coated Retriever. Panda soon worked her way into our hearts as our newest family member. At 8 weeks she was attacking a box of rats purchase to feed our pet boa, and made her first kill of a rat on that day. We were taken back by her lack of fear of anything on two or four legs, and immediately started training for hunting, go to ground, and lure coursing for endurance. Although not to keen on the lure coursing in the beginning, she took to the tunnels in go to ground and hunting like a duck to water. And with that, we were hooked on the Fell's.

We are now starting our breeding program, and with loads of research into bloodlines and genetics, we strive to produce the same quality Fell's as we did with our breeding program from our Lab's and Curly's. And with our first litter on the way, we're off and running.

We have also added another member to the line with our newest addition of Nutmeg, our chocolate Fell. Nutmeg with her chortling bark has earned her way into our hearts just as Panda did. Her drive for the hunt and love of going to ground along with her love of the lure has her winning ribbons in those events as well as conformation.
