The fall brought a return to Yankee Reservoir. The aspens were not as far yellowed as the first time I visited there. Even the entry road was not as colorful. But the fall wildflowers were prolific. We spent about kalf of our time going through the meadows and around the lake looking at them. It is a good thing that there were plenty of people out in the meadow. My wife backed the car (not the SUV) into a ditch and it took a troop of boy scouts and their leaders to get us out of the ditch.
