a.k.a. "the what would you do if your wife became disabled" ride
The back seat swivels for easy loading. It came from an electric scooter.
In the garage after the first paint job, and yes it's part Huffy!
Popping wheelies in the driveway, Bobby "helping"
I had it propped up to do some welding on the bottom for brake cables. Nice hill we live on huh?
Just after adding the stereo and lights.
Johnny 5, alive?
The morning after, all the big pieces still there! Actually, the only problem we had was the #1 chain (from me to Bobby) came off twice. I think it was because the frame was flexing to the right because we were almost constantly leaning because of the road crown.
Car battery to power the sound system and lights.
There are four chains total. #1 is from me to Bobby. #2 Bobby to here. #3 from here to the transfer case. #4 is the drive belt to the rear axle. This bottom bracket has 5 gears, 3 for changing back to the transfer case, 1 for spacing and the outside one that goes to #2 chain.
#1 chain is single speed size. #2 is narrow, that's why these 2 different size chain rings are bolted together. Also shown here is the plate that joins both back brake cables to the one that goes to my right brake lever.
#4 chain from the transfer case to the axle. Beefy BMX chain. Too bad it's covered up, its chrome.
That's one long trailer...
I had to make the trailer longer to be able to get it downtown (or anywhere other than our hilly neighborhood)
