Hugh Frohock

                  Hugh Frohock was one of the settlers who moved to East Florida when it was British (sometime between 1763 and 1783).  Hugh Frohock had at least two children

          Emily Frohock married Isham Spalding and had two children

         Charles Frohock married Sarah Spalding and they had a son Charles H. Frohock. 

           Charles H. Frohock married Sarah Club (Sarah Spalding's cousin) who lived in St. Marys and on Cumberland Island, in Georgia.  They had a son named Robert H. Frohock.

       Robert H. Frohock was born on Aug. 11, 1844 in Mcintosh County.  When Robert was six weeks old his father moved back to his old home on Cumberland Island in Camden county.   He was a Confederate soldier and served throughout the war.

            He was married, in 1864, to Margaret Pacetty and they had twelve children.  One of which was named Charles born on Feb. 18, 1881, died May 1, 1970.  Charles married Irene Pacetty and had Dora Fay in Marianna(Camden County) on May 6, 1913.  Dora married Hugh James Finn on Nov. 3, 1933.

           Robert H. Frohock had a long public career.  The first office he ever held was Superintendent of Public Roads.   He had been Justice of the Peace for the 29th District and though not a lawyer made a very able and efficient Justice. 

           He was Judge of the County Court as long as the tribunal exested and was for some time a member of the Board of Education.  He was Chancellor Commander of the Kingsland Lodge Knights of Pythias and was at one time Deputy Grand Chancellor of the Lodge of Georgia.  He was at one time an assistant keeper of the lighthouse on Little Cumberland Island, in Georgia.

           He was major of the United Confederate Veterans and captain commander of the Camden county veterans.  Judge Frohock was a Christian gentleman of the real old southern type and his life was one of usefull service to his fellow man.
