A DAY IN THE LIFE OF NICHOLAS AND ZEENA

And I'm handsome Nicholas. I'm not really all business even though I always wear a white shirt. Just think of me as the sports model cat,
Our human spends so much time on her stupid computer instead of playing with us that I
decided to hold a "lie-in" until she made a web page for us. We thought we should help her write the darn thing to make sure it said exactly what we want; to show you how we spend a typical day.
After a good night's sleep and a lot of stretching, I head for the bathroom. We have our own litter pan but I love to watch the water go round and round in this funny sink.
My human likes to brush her teeth, but not before I take a loooong drink of water. She does put out a bowl for us, but this water is guaranteed fresh. Besides, it's more fun to see how long I can stand here drinking before she gets impatient with me!
Here I am playing Peek-a-Boo while I wait for our human to wash up. She takes so long putting that stuff on her face. I don't know why she doesn't just give it a few paw-licks like I do. Maybe then her face fur would grow properly!
Oops. I forgot. First we have to make the bed. I just love this job, especially when I play detective and go "under cover".
Caught in the act! Now you know the truth......I play with a toy mouse, not a real one. I'd love to catch one, but all I can find around here are crickets! They're fun to catch but they fall apart too easily!
We don't spend all our time playing and sleeping. Here we are helping our human sort the laundry. This is very hard work.
Working and playing so hard just wears us out. Time for a siesta. Actually, we usually sleep all afternoon!
We'll, dinner is over. How about some TV up in the loft? Our favorite programs are the nature shows on PBS, especially the ones about lions and tigers!
Time for bed already? And we have to go through that sink routine again, only this time in reverse. At least I can doze while I wait for her. I do wish she's put a pillow in here for short naps.
What do you think of our bed? My human's mother made the cat pillows and the small one is over 60 years old! Sometimes Zeena sneaks under the covers to sleep, but my favorite place is smack in the middle of the bed. I really hate it when I get moved or even KICKED out of my place in the middle of the night. But we get even with her - we wrestle on the bed! My goodness, I'm sleepy again. Good night, everyone.
